Over 500 Cub Scouts and family members headed to Broad Creek Memorial Scout Reservation for another sold-out Cub Scout Family Weekend!

From outdoor adventures and campfire fun to making memories with family and friends, Scouts embraced everything that makes camp special. Even a camp-wide power outage couldn't slow them down. Meals were served, programs continued, and the adventure never stopped, because Scouts are ALWAYS prepared!

A huge thank you to our staff, volunteers, and Rangers who worked behind the scenes to make the weekend a success. We loved seeing so many first-time families experience the magic of Broad Creek, and we can't wait to welcome them back for more adventures ahead!

On Wednesday, Cub Cadet provided at no cost, three Zero Turn units (sit down with lap bars, sit down with steering wheel, and a stand on) to be used at Broad Creek Scout Reservation for the next two seasons. The additional of these three movers to the existing fleet will make a significant impact on maintaining the grounds and will allow for several volunteers in addition to our rangers to be out in force.

Thank you to Cub Cadet for your generosity, support, and partnership; and to Jason Dengler for taking the time to meet our rangers on-site to ensure that they had a full rundown of the mowers.

As you can see from the photos, Ranger Bill has already put them to work!

After 25 years with the Baltimore Area Council, Kathy Hull is officially retiring!

Many of you know Kathy as our Council Registrar, but over the years she has worn many hats and helped countless Scouts, volunteers, and families across our Council. Whether she was supporting membership, managing registrations, or helping behind the scenes, Kathy has been a steady presence and a friendly face for generations of Scouters.

We welcome you to join us as we celebrate Kathy’s retirement and thank her for 25 years of dedication, hard work, and service to Scouting.
