To nurture and guide motivated young people in need to become well-educated, career-ready men and women for others.

Hope Ignites Baltimore helps motivated high school students rise above disadvantaged backgrounds. Our goal is to graduate young people who are physically, emotionally, and academically prepared for post-secondary education and productive life, breaking barriers so they can become community-minded leaders. Hope Ignites firmly believes that young people have the power to overcome adversity, realize their potential, and help transform our world. They create these successes when we remove obstacles, support and believe in them, and provide environments and opportunities that build on their strengths.

We're proud to see our Collegians taking advantage of opportunities that expand their horizons and prepare them for the future!

One of our Collegians recently attended the inaugural AI NextGen America Conference right here in Baltimore, joining peers from across the Hope Ignites Network. Through workshops, networking opportunities, and conversations with technology professionals, they gained valuable insights into the growing role of artificial intelligence and the many career pathways within the tech industry.

Experiences like these help our scholars build connections, explore new possibilities, and develop the skills needed to thrive in tomorrow's workforce.

This week, we gathered for our Annual Scholar Recommitment Ceremony, a special tradition where our scholars reflect on the past year, celebrate their growth, and set goals for the school year ahead.

Surrounded by families, community partners, volunteers, and supporters, our scholars shared powerful reflections on how Hope Ignites has impacted their lives.

These moments remind us that success is about so much more than academics. It's about growth, belonging, resilience, and discovering what's possible when a community believes in you.

Thank you to everyone who showed up to encourage and support our scholars. Your presence made this milestone even more meaningful, and together, we are helping young people build bright futures.

Hosted by the Baltimore City Office of Equity and Civil Rights, this incredible event brought together more than 150 Baltimore City Public School students to explore career pathways, educational opportunities, training programs, and community resources.

Our team enjoyed connecting with students, sharing information about Hope Ignites Baltimore, and discussing the many opportunities available to help them achieve their goals. Events like this are a powerful reminder of the impact that community partnerships can have in preparing young people for successful futures.

Thank you to the organizers and all participating vendors for creating an engaging and inspiring experience for Baltimore's youth. We are honored to be part of a community that is investing in the next generation of leaders, professionals, and changemakers.

We're proud to announce our 8th Annual Friendsgiving, hosted by our longtime community partner, Buch Construction, on November 12, 2026.

This signature event brings together business leaders, community advocates, and supporters who share a commitment to creating brighter futures for Baltimore's young people. All proceeds benefit the Scholars of Hope Ignites Baltimore, helping provide academic support, college and career readiness, mentoring, and transformational opportunities that empower students to thrive.

As we prepare for this year's event, we are seeking corporate and community sponsors who want to make a meaningful investment in the next generation. Sponsorship opportunities range from $500 to $10,000 and include recognition through event signage, social media, on-site branding, and event tickets.

🚨 FINAL DAY. FINAL PUSH. 🚨

We are so close to the finish line!

Our Ignite the Year Campaign goal is $40,000, and thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we've raised $39,455.

That means we're just $545 away from reaching our goal.

Every dollar invested in Hope Ignites Baltimore helps provide Scholars with the support, opportunities, and experiences they need to thrive in school, prepare for college, and build bright futures. Scholars like Gionnie, who dreams of becoming an architect and is passionate about music, are why this work matters. Your support helps young people like him explore their talents, pursue their goals, and build the confidence to achieve their full potential.

Today, we're asking our community to help us close the gap and cross the finish line together. Whether it's $25, $50, $100, or more, every gift brings us one step closer.

$545 to go. One final day. One incredible community.

Ignite the Year: Help Create the Next Full-Circle Story

As we make our final push toward our Ignite the Year Campaign goal, we want to share a story that perfectly captures the lasting impact of investing in our Scholars.

As a Scholar, Serena found stability, support, mentorship, and a community that believed in her potential. Through Hope Ignites Baltimore, she gained access to opportunities that helped shape her future, ultimately earning a full-ride scholarship to the University of Southern California and graduating with a degree in Psychology.

Serena's story has come full circle.

After graduating from college, she returned to Hope Ignites Baltimore as a Youth Specialist, mentoring the next generation of Scholars in the very program that helped transform her own life. This fall, she continued her commitment to young people as a Teach For America kindergarten teacher.

In recognition of her achievements and service, Serena was honored this year with the Legacy of Hope Award at the Hope Ignites National Leadership Conference, an award celebrating alumni who exemplify educational achievement, career readiness, and a commitment to uplifting their communities.

Reflecting on her journey, Serena shared:

"When the impact is full circle, I have to circle back here."

Her story is a powerful reminder that your support today creates opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom.

The Scholar who receives support today may become tomorrow's college graduate.

The young person who gains confidence and stability today may become tomorrow's teacher, mentor, or community leader.

The student you invest in today could one day return to help ignite the dreams of others.

As our campaign comes to a close, we hope you'll help us create more full-circle stories like Serena's.

Make your gift today and help Ignite the Year for the next generation of Hope Ignites Baltimore Scholars.

Because when you invest in a Scholar, you're not just changing one life. You're creating a legacy of hope that continues for generations.
