NEIGHBORHOOD BARBEQUE at Harvest Fare Hamilton,

Today from 10am to 4pm Harvest Fare Hamilton Grocery store has generously offered to dedicate the proceeds of their NEIGHBORHOOD BBQ to the Hamilton Hawks Chess Club at Hamilton Elementary Middle School.

Thank you to everyone who has congratulated our Hamilton Elementary/Middle School (HEMS) chess scholars for their 2nd place trophy at the Baltimore City Kids Chess League's Novice Tournament on Saturday and our scholar who received a trophy for going undefeated with a near perfect score. They have a lot to be proud of AND much to look forward to. The coach and a few volunteers are working to make it possible for more students to join chess associations and to register for upcoming state, city and non-profit tourneys. We would really appreciate any help that you can offer toward our $2500 fund raising goal. The funds will pass through the HEMS PTA directly to the chess club. If you prefer to make a contribution with a check or other gift (time, books, boards, tablets, lessons, etc) then please do not hesitate to contact me at 443-506-0656. GREAT NEWS. On Saturday,, our Hamilton Hawks won the 2nd place trophy at the Baltimore Kids Chess League's Novice Tournament. It was an exciting day of competition with the final result in the balance until the last moments of the last round. Congratulations to Michael, who won an individual trophy for an almost perfect score of 3.5 (3 wins and 1 draw). Great job Michael, Cassidy, Quintin, Ka'Mya and Sienna.
