Hope everyone is ready for school! We've had an exciting week attending Back-to-School events throughout Baltimore County leading up to today's Cub Scout Field Day presented by Cubscout Pack 247 of Maryland and Cub Pack 2359 and we're looking forward to the rest of the Cub Scout recruitment season!

If your unit is participating in or holding any recruitment activities this Fall - please let us know! We're always happy to support in any way we can.

If your unit hasn't yet scheduled a Join Scout Night/Unit Open House please see the following link or reach out to your District Membership team for tips and best practices: https://scoutingwire.org/marketing-and-membership-hub/unit-recruiting/sign-up-night-unit-playbook/

Are you going to Philmont? Enjoy backcountry camping but need some pointers to make the experience more fun? Want a lighter pack without breaking the bank? I have a Scout course for you!
I'd say it's the Bestest Course in ALL of Scoutingdom! and it's called Eaglesnest.
It's a course all about backpacking and backcountry camping. You will learn how to eat well in the woods on food purchased at Walmart and the dollar store. We will teach you how to get water from a creek without getting sick from it. We will even teach you to tie your boots better for more miles on the trail in comfort, and of course we will go over the proper way to poo in the woods.
If this sounds like what you want to learn about and experience in a safe environment, from people that know backpacking, this is your course!
