Our Run Through History to raise money for two orgs on Asheville NC was a failure in terms of raising money (no other bikers showed up except for Nugi and I). But the run itself was glorious and the reenactments put on by Saratoga 250 were spectacular. Here are some scenes from the run.

On a good note, Horses-n-Harleys raised some money for the benefit through two of the farm’s guests this weekend. The farm will be posting about that soon!

Good morning bikers! This is not a run or event you’ll want to miss. Join us tomorrow, Sat 12 for our Run Through History to benefit two local orgs that are helping people and animals in NC. We will literally be riding through history at the reenactments of the Revolutionary War in Saratoga National Historic Park and Schuylerville.

The weather is looking to be beautiful Saturday. We’re looking forward to seeing you on a Run Through History to be benefit BeLoved Asheville and Brother Wolf Animal Rescue. Any donation amount is accepted and appreciated. We will be sending the donations through Horses-n-Harleys LLC and will include your name on the group donation unless you decline.

Hi guys, I haven’t posted in a while. We’ve organized some charity rides in Clinton Corners to raise money for horses and will be doing some more runs out of our farm, so check out Horses n Harleys Farm if you would like to be part of bikers advocating for horses.

I wanted to see what the interest is in putting together a run to help raise money for the folks dealing with the catastrophic fallout of Hurricane Helene down in Asheville, NC. Is there someone who would like to help me organize this fundraising run for Oct 12? Please comment below and then PM me.

Nugi and I help organize a yearly motorcycle charity run and gourmet BBQ luncheon to raise money and awareness for the 13 Hands Equine Rescue, Inc. in Clinton Corners, NY.

This year’s second annual Horsepower Motorcycle Run & Gourmet BBQ Luncheon will be held on Sunday, Oct 1 - KSU 10:30am and BBQ luncheon at 1pm. You don’t need to be a biker to attend, the event is open to all people who’d like to support the rescue and the amazing work 13 Hands does to get horses out of the kill pens and abusive situations, and on to new life. 13 Hands Rescue runs programs to enable healing of Veterans together with the horses, as well as other special clinics. The rescue is so beautiful and there are horses for as far as the eye can see - it will be a beautiful Fall occasion for all.

Even if you’re not able to attend, making a donation (no matter how small) or sharing about this event is a way to help these horses that need us, is deeply appreciated.

The event is a destination ride for motorcyclists. Last year we had riders from NYC, Western NY, Saratoga, Hudson Valley, NJ and Connecticut. If you’re interested in riding down from Saratoga please message me. It’s about a 90 mile ride to the rescue and we’ll be leaving from a meetup spot in Schuylerville at 8am.
