🎡 FFA at the Fair! 🍔🍟

Our THS FFA members have been hard at work running concessions in the livestock barn at the Rapides Parish Fair! From Tuesday through Saturday night, our students are gaining hands-on experience in teamwork, customer service, and responsibility!

If you’re headed to the fair, stop by the livestock barn, grab a bite to eat, and support our hardworking students! ❤️

🪚🔨 A Great Day for THS Carpentry! ❤️🖤

Today, our Tioga High School Carpentry teams competed in the Beebe Martin Memorial FFA Carpentry Contest at the Natchitoches Parish Fair!

Our students had the opportunity to put their classroom skills to work, practice teamwork, and build a finished product they can be proud of!

🏆 One of our teams brought home 3rd place! What makes this even more exciting is that this was the very first competition for every member of that team!

We are extremely proud of ALL our students who competed today and represented THS so well! ❤️🖤

🍯🐝 Our Honey Adventure — 2026! 🐝🍯

This project was about so much more than putting honey in a jar! Our Tioga High School agriculture students had the opportunity to follow the process from harvest to finished product, gaining hands-on experience every step of the way.

Students helped harvest the honey, prepare and fill the jars, label and package the finished product, create marketing materials, research pricing and profit margins, and explore what it takes to turn an agricultural product into something ready for the consumer. Along the way, they were able to connect lessons in agriculture, business, marketing, entrepreneurship, and production in a very real way.

From learning about honey bees and the importance of pollinators to seeing the final jars lined up and ready to sell, this has been one of those projects that truly shows what agricultural education is all about — learning by doing. 💙💛

We are incredibly proud of the work our students put into our 2026 Honey Adventure, and we are excited to keep growing this project through the THS FFA Farm Stand!

🪚 From the shop to the spotlight! 🔨

Our Tioga High School Carpentry students recently had the opportunity to build and finish a set of real wood marquee letters for Louisiana Christian University!

This project gave our students valuable hands-on experience while creating something that will be used and enjoyed beyond our classroom. We were proud to partner with LCU and are thankful for the opportunity to showcase the skills our students are learning in the carpentry program.

And we’re not finished yet—there are still more letters to come! 👀

🌿 Kent House Herb Day 🌿

THS FFA had a great time at Kent House Herb Day selling our fall plants and fresh herbs! 🍂🌱

We loved getting to visit with members of our community, share what our students have been growing, and support our agriculture program through our greenhouse sales.
