‼️Volunteers needed ‼️NAYB is hosting the 11U District 5 tournament from June 24th through June 27th. This is the first time our league and town has had the honor to host. Even if your child isn’t playing in the tournament, it would be great to have your support for a game. This will allow parents to watch their players for most of their games. Let’s do this together NAYB! 💪🏻💪🏻 Please see the link for volunteer opportunities.

🚨 CHAMPIONSHIP BOUND! 🚨

The Gansett Red Sox are playing absolute electric baseball right now, and they just punched their ticket to the Big Game! 🦅⚾️

The boys kept the momentum rolling with a massive 16-8 victory over Westminster-Phillips at Marden Field in Ashburnham!

🌟 Game Highlights:

The Bash Brothers: Brady and Luke teamed up on the mound to shut things down and blasted back-to-back Home Runs in the 6th inning to seal the deal! 🚀💥

Total Team Effort: Hats off to every single player on the roster—this was a huge team win with everyone contributing including two big hits from Will, a ground-rule double by Auggie, and a massive scoring inning sparked by hot-hitting Xavion! 🔥 📸 💪

🏆 The Championship Matchup:
The Red Sox are moving on to face the winner of the Westminster/Fitchburg game! 😎

🔥 FYBSL Flashback Fridays 🔥

Before he was coaching, mentoring players, and leading a youth baseball organization of his own, he was one of the kids dreaming about All-Stars at Ansin Park.

Here’s Nick Smith back in 1989 as a member of the legendary “MaryAnne’s Too” Fitchburg Angels at Ansin Park, proudly posing with the equally legendary Black Magic Bat 🪄⚾️

The uniforms. The old-school baseball card design. The oversized bat. Pure baseball nostalgia.

What makes this photo even cooler is that baseball never left Nick. The game stayed with him his entire life, and today he continues giving back to the sport as the President of Gansett Area Youth Baseball, helping create the same memories for a new generation of players.

That’s what youth baseball is really about. Today’s players become tomorrow’s coaches, volunteers, league presidents, and the people who keep the game alive in their communities.

And now, with baseball returning to Ansin Park once again, a whole new generation of kids gets the chance to make memories at the same field where players like Nick once stood dreaming about All-Stars.

Some things never change. ❤️⚾
