Faith & Blue Weekend at St. Francis of Assisi Parish

Join us on Sunday, October 11, at the 8:30 AM Mass as we celebrate Blue Mass in Honor of All Law Enforcement Officers.

The Bakersfield Police Department will be hosting coffee and pastries after Mass. ☕🥐

National Faith & Blue Weekend brings together law enforcement and faith communities across the nation to strengthen relationships, build trust, and promote safer communities.

Let us come together in prayer and gratitude for the brave men and women who serve and protect our community. May God bless them and keep them safe as they carry out their important mission. 🙏💙

🙏 A Special Opportunity to Honor St. Francis 🙏

We are blessed to announce that a relic (ashes) of St. Francis of Assisi will be displayed at our Saturday 5:00 PM Mass and all Sunday Masses.

📍Location: 900 H Street.

This is a beautiful opportunity to pray, reflect, and ask for the intercession of St. Francis.

Did you know?
Sacred items that are touched to a first-class relic become third-class relics. If you would like to bring a sacred item to touch to the relic, please do so respectfully.

A gentle reminder: The relic will be guarded by our Knights of Columbus. To allow everyone the opportunity to visit and pray before the relic, we kindly ask that your time with the relic be brief and prayerful.

We look forward to sharing this special blessing with our parish community. May St. Francis pray for us and guide us closer to Christ.
