Be a part of something special and help us give back to our community!πŸ™Œ

For meal prep, starting at 10:30 am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, we will need help packing food and other items to head to the park at 11:15am.

At 11:30 am, we will start serving until 12:15 pm. Here, we will need assistance in serving both cold and hot food items to kids 18 years and under.

This does not mean volunteers must stay for the whole time, any help is appreciated!

Dear Aurora Families and Community Partners,
Lunch Bunch is back for its 9th year of feeding youth in the Aurora community! To date, we have served over 22,770 meals and we can’t wait to see that number continue to grow.
After careful consideration, we have made the decision that we will be offering lunch and fun 3-days per week on Tuesdays, Wednesday’s, and Thursdays at Refshauge Park (300-412 14th St, Aurora, NE 68818) starting June 2nd. There is no sign-in or sign-up needed. We welcome friends and families from any community! We want to specifically thank the Hamilton County Foundation and Heartland United Way for their monetary donations to make this possible.
Lunch Bunch, though, cannot continue to run without a little help from the community! We are seeking 1) Volunteers willing to help serve food and ensure there is plenty of fun to be had! 2) Donations for craft and game supplies

We want to thank the Hamilton Community Foundation for their generous grant that we put towards improving our community spaces, including our pond!

Their support was crucial to our aeration project, which focused on improving the water quality of our pond to benefit all the species that live within it and our catch-and-release fishers. We also want to thank and acknowledge that this wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Troop 28, who helped with the installation.

Although the process has started, it will take 10-12 months to see visible improvement, as the system takes time to reduce the muck bottom layer by equally dispersing oxygen throughout the water body.
