We were honored to be selected as one of 250 individuals and organizations invited to Seattle this past week to the US Chamber of Connection’s ‘Connected Cities Summit,’ where we were invited to co-author a blueprint for creating strategic connection in cities across America.

This blueprint is the culmination and launch of vision, strategy and hope from experts across our nation who are working with endless passion to see less social isolation in our country - the plague that leads to so many of the challenges we are facing: physical health, polarization, mental health challenges, a lack of meaning and purpose, addiction; the list goes on.

Not only did we hear from some of our leading experts like Seth Kaplan, but we cooked together, pressed apple c***r together, danced, toured neighborhoods of Seattle and reminded each other we belong to a much bigger family.

Thank you for the leadership of the Aaron Hurst and the US Chamber of Connection and your posture of co-creation - as it will take all of us, including the leaders in cities across the nation, who care about creating places, people and funding mechanisms to bring all of us back together.

Where else can a formerly incarcerated entrepreneur, artist, a master in social work, an indigenous leader, and a 19-year-old autistic college student eat dinner together?

In a rare heat wave for San Diego, over 500 leaders broke bread on an otherwise typical Monday night this week in the city’s famous ‘jewels,’ Balboa Park.

The hope? Less siloed leaders. More meaningful connections across the city. Less isolated humans. Connections between young and sages. Black and brown and white humans eating together.

Two days later - energy and momentum is in the air. (And that’s not just the Padres’ World Series run!) It’s the feeling of hope. Vibrancy. Life.

Next up: a 3,000-person table in April, where all San Diegans will be invited.

Take a good look at the Imperial City - it’s about to transform for good.

Tonight, 500 San Diego leaders will sit down together as humans first 🍽️and share dinner at one long table—bringing together an extraordinary cross-section of the city’s cultures, communities and diversities.

A small team of dedicated table-setters have spent months preparing for tonight, which will lead to a 3,000+ foot table in April 2027.

Imagine what connections are about to be made. Imagine what humans will walk away feeling like they matter in the city.

It’s a simple concept, but it could transform a city for good.

Boulder knows how to bring people together—on the trails, along Pearl Street, cheering on the Buffs, and soon, at the Sundance Film Festival. 🎬🏔️

This time, it was around one long table.

As part of 150 Tables Across Colorado, organizers celebrated our state’s 150th birthday by sharing a meal, swapping stories, and getting to know the people who call Boulder home.

From the iconic Flatirons to the faces across the table, there’s a lot to love about Boulder. Every chair has a story. Thanks for sharing yours. 💙

One week from tonight, 500 leaders, representing practically every neighborhood, community, industry and sector will come together at a 500-foot table in Balboa Park to experience the power of the table.

The Longer Tables model is now being licensed and set in other cities - a testament to the growing MOVEMENT of leaders catching the vision of creating a place where we can connect first as humans, across the silos that for too long have characterized our cities.

We’re excited to share their story, and the months of work, their many partners and the love they have for what some call ‘America’s finest city!’ Follow along Longer Tables San Diego

150 tables continue to be set across the state of Colorado - as we celebrate the real reason a state is great: it’s people and cities who eat, work and live life to the full together!

This past Monday, 300 humans ate tacos and spaghetti together at long tables extending down the center of their historic Gold-rush town, with food provided by restaurants, music by a local band and an invitation by the City to linger and enjoy meeting new neighbors.

The event sold out and the City of Salida anticipates setting the long table every year to celebrate the end of Summer.

As part of our state setting 150 tables across Colorado, a historic neighborhood overlooking downtown Denver called Barnum gathered around one long table to share a meal, exchange stories, and celebrate the neighborhood they call home.

An active Neighborhood Organization took the lead, inviting neighbors ranging from many Hispanic families who have called Barnum home for decades, to young families who have recently made Barnum home.

Lonnie, a resident for over 45 years couldn’t make the gathering itself, but prepared a pasta salad and was grateful to have contributed to this gathering framed by the city and a bright rainbow.
 Intentional gatherings like the Longer Table can move a neighborhood like Barnum from a neighborhood to a home - where there’s a deeper sense of togetherness and even reliance.

There is no doubt we are better when we are in it together - and for the Mile High City - it’s at the Mile Long Table!

People from all walks of life, from all across Denver, came together at the table on August 1, 2026 to eat dinner, sit next to people they didn’t know - and connect over sharing their stories.

August 1st also happened to be Colorado’s 150th Birthday and a great excuse to bring a city together, over a little cake (2,000 slices were served), some country music and a whole lot of smiles.

Here’s evidence that a flourishing state is one where all humans are welcome at the table. Look at those smiles!

They have a really long table with open seats for all!

The Mile High City came together at the Mile Long Table on August 1, 2026 to eat dinner, sit next to people they didn’t know - and connect over sharing their stories.

August 1st also happened to be Colorado’s 150th Birthday and a great excuse to bring a city together, over a little cake (2,000 slices were served), some country music and a whole lot of smiles.
