Big thank you to Hancock Lumber in Augusta for donating a lift of v-match pine for rebuilding three small camps on our new Sportsmans Alliance of Maine property outside of Lincoln and on the Nicatous and Passadumkeag Streams. One day youth will make memories in this special place. Thanks to Tom Doore for helping us get it there. Those wishing to help on the project can call me at, 207-691-0367.

The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife Family Outdoor Skills Day at our Outdoor Education Center was a huge success thanks to department staff and other organizations and individuals who supported the event! Participants rode ATVs; learned about trapping; tried turkey calling; shot archery, rifle, or shotgun; and casted with a fly and spinning rods. Thanks to the generosity of the Mike Shaw family, two lifetime fishing licenses were awarded. Ron Fournier presented awards during lunchtime, notably to Penobscot County Conservation Association for receiving Educator of the Year from the International Hunter Education Association! SAM was presented IF&W's Outdoor Partner of the Year! We're thrilled to support the department as leaders in Outdoor Education and value their partnership! Enjoy a few photos from the day...
