God is not asking us to barter our way into His goodness.
David doesn’t praise God because God has met his terms. He praises because he already knows who God is: good, faithful, present, and able to help. His worship isn’t waiting on the outcome. It’s rooted in the character of God.
That’s what faith looks like in the middle of need. We don’t say, “God, I’ll worship if You do this.” We say, “God, because You are faithful, I will trust You now.”
This message is part of our series, Summer in the Psalms, from Psalm 61. Come worship with us at New Hope.
