We focus on Educational Initiatives, Leadership Execution, and Community Partnerships in Denton County, Texas, and Zambia. The Daliso Foundation is a Pro-Literacy-Centered Texas-based 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization founded in 2013, focusing on EDUCATION and COMMUNITY Development. Empowering 3,500 youths in student success and mentorship in rural Zambia and Denton County, Texas (USA). We value qu

ality education as a chance that might give a child an opportunity to create a better and brighter future for themselves, their families, and their communities. However, for that chance to be possible, children must be equipped with school supplies. The word “DALISO” means "Blessing" in Chewa (Zambian language). Our mantra is Extending the Blessing! Our Mission: Promote a better lifestyle for children, their families, and the community through education with an emphasis on student success, (youth empowerment), and community development. Our programs are centered on Educational Initiatives, Leadership Execution, and Community Partnerships to empower and assist our local community and communities around the world to meet humanitarian needs. We value quality education because it's a chance that might give a child an opportunity to create a better and brighter future for themselves, their families, and their communities. Our Vision: Helping vulnerable students from low-income families in late middle and early high school until post-secondary completion and career launch, prepare for their future by developing strategies to overcome barriers to post-secondary education completion. Increasing educational awareness and critical thinking through vocational leadership training, mentorship, and mental health coaching. We aim to cultivate the student’s confidence, leadership skills, effective relationship-building, purposeful goal-setting, and performance to help them prepare for their career launch and future aspirations to help eliminate the duplication of poverty. Our Purpose: Simply to give hope, inspire, and empower others. We desire to support students to reach within their God-given abilities and empower them to eliminate the word ‘impossible’ from pursuing their education to earn a better and brighter future. Women’s Month Impact: Navy Federal Credit Union Bank — Dallas–Fort Worth [March 2026]

Women from Navy Federal Bank in the DFW region volunteered their time to support the Daliso Foundation by packing essential school supplies into backpacks for vulnerable students in Zambia.

As the need grows, their service shows how corporate teams make a meaningful impact when they invest time partnering with local nonprofits.

We are grateful for their leadership, collaboration, and commitment to helping students succeed.

Shout out to Dee M for initiating this opportunity.
When women lead with purpose, communities rise.

✨ Daliso Foundation | Volunteerism is a valued resource. Service to our Community. ✨

We supported the Harvest Ministries on their ongoing outreach to the community (Food Distribution) in Aubrey, TX - Denton County.

Showing up for our communities, uplifting others, and choosing impact in whatever ways we can. Let’s carry the spirit of service forward, today and every day.

became a federal holiday in 2021 to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States.

Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally learned of their freedom, two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
