Today is the 21st Annual LGBTQ Families Day, a time to celebrate the many families with LGBTQ people in them! This event aims to raise awareness of the diversity, joys, and challenges of all LGBTQ families—found, formed, and chosen—and to show their strength, elevate their collective stories, and reaffirm allies’ support.

Come rev your engines and SCREAM your way through a Mario Kart tournament hosted by special guest emcee

If Mario Kart isn’t your thing, bring your own games or roll the dice and join the group D&D campaign happening throughout the night.

All proceeds from the Mario Kart tournament will benefit Athens Pride & Q***r Collective. Foxglove will also donate $2 from every specialty Pride cocktail sold.

WALK IN THE ATHENS PRIDE parade with PFLAG Athens

June 6th, 2026 Downtown Athens
Be there by 4:00 p.m. Parade starts at 5:00 p.m. We will be handing out candy, flags, fans, blowing bubbles, etc. You do not have to be a PFLAG dues paying member. We welcome anyone in the community who loves parades and wants to show their LGBTQ+ pride and love to the community.

APQC is thrilled to announce that applications for our 2026 Gender-Affirming Care Grant are now OPEN! This program exists to reduce the financial barriers that often delay or prevent individuals from accessing procedures that are essential to their health, safety, and well-being.

Since launching the program, APQC has awarded over $50,000 directly to community members in need. These grants help cover costs related to surgical procedures that insurance may not fully support — or may not cover at all.

The grant is open to any resident of Georgia who is seeking a specific gender-affirming procedure. Visit the link in our bio to learn more and apply.

Today is Pans*xual and Panromantic Awareness and Visibility Day! 💗💛💙

➡️ What does it mean to be Pans*xual?
Pans*xual refers to a person whose emotional, romantic, and/or physical attraction is to people inclusive of all genders. People who are pans*xual need not have had any s*xual experience: It is the attraction and self-identification that determine the orientation.

➡️ And what does it mean to be Panromantic?
Panromantic refers to an individual who is romantically attracted to people of all genders, but does not notice their partner's gender. Panromantic people often tend to feel that their partner's s*x and/or gender does little to define their relationship.

The Classic City Juneteenth Music & Arts Fest is a community-centered celebration honoring Juneteenth through culture, music, food, family engagement, and Black economic empowerment. Hosted at Georgia Square Mall, this event will bring together local residents, small businesses, food vendors, artists, performers, community organizations, and families for a vibrant Freedom Weekend experience.
