May is Foster Care Awareness month and we are bringing Awareness this Sunday, May 24the at 12:30pm Cornerstone Church Athens and Cornerstone Church Foster Care Ministry are hosting Uniting Hope for their Foster Care Lunch & Learn! Registration required - if you are in the Athens-Clarke County/Oconee or surrounding counties (Region5) and have thought about becoming a foster parent or wanted to know how you can help the Foster Care Community please join us!

The average # of children in foster care in ACC is about 200+ with only 23 active licensed foster families... those are hard facts to ignore!

The real problem: In Athens Clarke County, we are dealing with a foster care crisis & a displacement crisis. When a child is removed from their home and then removed from their city, they lose their school, their friends, and their school support systems.

We had a wonderful time at the Cornerstone Church Athens Foster Parent Date Night! Thank you for the opportunity to hang with your kiddos!

Keep an eye out for our next Foster Parent Date night coming in July! Right around the school supply shopping marathons.... we will have another opportunity for you all to either take a break or continue with your school supply marathon shopping without the little helpers!
