Happy Pride Month & Mindful Monday from Hanover Safe Place! πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ

Pride is joy, resilience, community, and courage - and this month we are holding space for all of it. Whether you are celebrating, healing, or still finding your way to safety, you are welcome here. Because everyone deserves to feel safe, celebrated, and supported.

We are also excited to announce a new weekly rhythm coming to our page: Mindful Monday, Transformation Tuesday, Warrior Wednesday, Thankful Thursday, and Feel-Good Friday. This new structure means more consistency, more community, and more space to celebrate the partners, donors, and neighbors who make this work possible.

Supporting a survivor's mental health doesn't require perfect words- it just requires showing up. πŸ’œ

As we close out Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to remind our community that one of the most powerful things you can do for a survivor is simply believe them. Validation is healing. Connection is healing.

You don't have to have all the answers. Just lead with kindness. If you or someone you love needs support, we're here - 24/7. πŸ“ž (804) 752-2702

🚲 A huge thank you to Temperature Control Mechanical Services (TCMS) for their incredible generosity!

They recently assembled and donated 10 children's bikes to Hanover Safe Place - a gift that will bring so much joy to the kids we serve.

We are so grateful for community partners like TCMS who go above and beyond to support our mission. πŸ’œ

Survivors deserve to be heard.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re sharing real reflections from survivors about the lasting impact domestic violence can have on mental health - and the strength it takes to heal.

Healing is not linear, and no one should face it alone. Thank you to every survivor who trusted us with their story. πŸ’œ

This spring, our community showed up for survivors in the most beautiful ways. From laundry supplies to Mother's Day totes, toiletry bags to hygiene essentials - every single donation brought comfort, dignity, and a reminder to our clients that they are loved and not alone. We are so grateful for each of our community partners who turned compassion into action. πŸ’™

A huge thank you to Atlantic Contractors, LLC. () , Independence Christian Church () , Chickahominy Falls Service Club, and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (https://www.facebook.com/share/16odLDoAbV/). We are so lucky to have you in our corner.
