Northern Virginia Diaper Bank MISSION: To eliminate diaper need and its impact on vulnerable children by ensuring reliable access to essential diapers. P.O.

Through compassionate service and community support, we strive to promote healthier families and cultivate stronger communities. One in two families struggles to provide diapers for their babies. Social service programs do not typically cover diapers. A baby in a soiled diaper for prolonged periods of time may be at a greater risk for emotional and physical health conditions. Not having enough diapers can have serious consequences for babies and young children and their families. We encouraged YOU to make a difference by giving monetary donations, purchasing from our Amazon WishList (https://novadiaperbank.org/wishlist) or hosting a diaper drive campaign at your business, schools, social clubs, or places of worship. Donate online: www.NOVADiaperBank.org/donate

Every baby matters and your support is needed to continue the important work diaper banks do to keep babies healthy, safe and happy. To date we have delivered over 1.7 million diapers to 47,000 families with babies in need of diaper assistance. Your tax-deductible monetary donations can be mailed to: A HAND-UP NOVA, INC. Box 2115, Ashburn, VA 20146

Champions at Heart: Thank You, Sukari & David!

There are some people who don’t simply see a need—they see an opportunity to make a difference. Sukari Gaylor and her husband, David, are those special people.

For Sukari, the inspiration was personal. After welcoming their son, David III, in June, she and David realized what a blessing it was to already have so many diapers in a variety of sizes on hand thanks to gifts from family and friends. As their son quickly grew from one size to the next, they even had diapers left over. That experience made Sukari think about the families in our community who don’t have that same support, and she knew she wanted to do something to help.

During National Diaper Need Awareness Week, Sukari led an incredible diaper drive that brought together family, friends, neighbors, and supporters to collect a little over 3,000 diapers for the Northern Virginia Diaper Bank NOVA Diaper Bank.

This was so much more than a collection of diapers. It was an act of compassion. It was neighbors helping neighbors. It was a reminder that when caring people come together, they can make an extraordinary difference in the lives of local families.

For a parent struggling to afford diapers, these 3,000 diapers can mean:
A baby can be changed into a clean, dry diaper instead of having to wait longer because the supply at home is running low.
A baby can be healthier and more comfortable, helping reduce the risk of painful diaper rash and infections associated with prolonged diaper use.
A parent can breathe a little easier, knowing there are diapers available for their child.
A parent may be able to work or attend school, because having an adequate diaper supply is often essential for childcare.
Most importantly, a family is reminded that their community cares about them.

Sukari and David didn't do this alone. Every person who donated, shared the drive, purchased diapers, encouraged others to participate, or simply helped spread the word became part of something much bigger. Together, they transformed compassion into something tangible—a clean diaper, a healthier baby, a supported parent, and hope for a family.

Sukari and David, the NOVA Diaper Bank is profoundly grateful for your generosity, your leadership, and your heart for babies and families in our community.

You are proof that champions don't always wear capes. Sometimes, they simply show up, care deeply, and decide to help.

Over 3,000 diapers. Countless moments of comfort. A lasting impact helping families in need of diaper assistance. Visit our website to learn more: www.NOVADiaperBank.org

The YMCA Fairfax County Reston recently donated another 1,360 diapers, bringing their incredible total to 11,705 diapers donated to the NOVA Diaper Bank!

It means fewer diaper rashes, more comfortable nights for babies and toddlers, and less stress for parents. It means parents can send their children to daycare and go to work knowing they have enough diapers. And it means more money in the family budget for groceries, utilities, gas, and other essentials.

Most importantly, it tells families: You are not alone. Your community cares.
Thank you to the YMCA members and staff for continuing to be a true Champion for Children and Families. Your generosity is changing lives, one diaper at a time!

A Heartfelt Thank You to the Sterling Ruritan Club!

The NOVA Diaper Bank extends our deepest gratitude to the dedicated volunteers of the Sterling Ruritan Club for generously giving their time, energy, and helping hands to move diapers for families in need.

What may look like simply moving boxes is, in reality, moving hope, dignity, and essential support to families with babies and young children. Every box they helped move brings us one step closer to ensuring that no baby in our community goes without the diapers they need.

Our mission would not be possible without volunteers who show up, roll up their sleeves, and serve with compassion. The Sterling Ruritan Club exemplifies the true spirit of community service—neighbors helping neighbors and people making a tangible difference in the lives of others.

To each volunteer who lifted, carried, loaded, and helped make this work possible: thank you. Your service has a direct and meaningful impact on families throughout Loudoun County and Western Fairfax County.

Because of volunteers like you, we can keep the diapers moving—and keep hope moving forward. We thank you!
