We did it! More than 600 children’s books were shipped yesterday to military families at Joint Base Pearl Harbor - Hickman in support of their upcoming family unit days! A huge thank you to all who donated books both locally and through Amazon purchases. The response to our Amazon Wish List was amazing!

We continue to collect books for our next initiative, the 2026 Library Booster Project which launches soon. This initiative provides free books to local Loudoun County teachers and their students. Check out our website www.bavisfoundation.org for more information or check out our Library Booster Amazon list:

As part of our support of Operation Paperback, The Bavis Foundation has been asked to help Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam Air Force Base during its upcoming unit family days. We will be providing more than 700 books that they will make available to the children of their military families! Our volunteers are busy sorting and packing books to send to them, but we need more! Will you help?

If you would like to donate very gently used children's books or cash for this wonderful initiative, please visit our site at https://www.bavisfoundation.org and click on the Operation Paperback link in Initiatives.

Don't have any children's books on hand but would like to send books anyway? We have created an Amazon Wishlist just for this purpose! Please click here to access this list:
