This handsome little man’s name is Malcom!

His Daddy is a Nigerian/Lamancha and his Momma is a Boer cross! We think he’s the cutest thing ever, and sweet too! He lets me kiss his little nose. I’ll enjoy all the sweetness while I can before he becomes a stinky Billy goat! 😅🩵

We have spent this week getting to know our animals here on our little farm and how to be safe around them! Next week we will teach the kids some “barn chores”!

What a great first week of school! 💛

This week was all about settling into our routines, learning how to work together, and most importantly—building relationships! We loved watching new friendships form, lots of laughter being shared, and our students becoming more comfortable each day. 🥰

Such a sweet start to what we know will be a wonderful year! 📚✨

Our 2nd graders have had such a fun week of learning and creating! 🤍

In Bible, we’ve been learning about how God created the world in six days. (Rested on the seventh) 🌎✨ After our lesson, the students got to use their own creativity to make Play-Doh creations!

They also made their very own self-portraits this week. 🎨 We love seeing their personalities and imaginations shine through their work!

A NEED ⭐️

One thing we absolutely LOVE about our students at The Underwood Branch is how many creative, active, busy brains we have! Many of our kiddos simply learn best when they have something to do with their hands. We’ve learned very quickly that giving those busy hands something productive to build, create, twist, connect, and fidget with can make a HUGE difference throughout the school day.

So… WE NEED CLIXO MAGNETS. 😂

If you have Clixo pieces hiding in a toy box, shoved under a bed, sitting in a closet, or abandoned because your kids have moved on to their next obsession…

👏 SEND. THEM. TO. US. 👏

Complete set? Yes.
Random pieces? Yes.
Missing half the box? WE DO NOT CARE. 😂
Used and loved? PERFECT.

Our students need things they can do with their hands during downtime, indoor recess, early-finisher time, and those moments when their brains are saying “I absolutely cannot sit here one more second.” 😅

When it’s too hot to head outside, we bring the fun inside! ☀️🙌

This week has been full of indoor PE, Rock Paper Scissors challenges, and lots of team-building fun! Our students put their creativity to work building towers with only paper and tape and tackled the challenge of getting in birthday order without saying a word! 🤫

We love seeing them work together, think outside the box, and have a whole lot of fun while doing it! 💚🖤

📚 1 DAY TO GO! 🎉💚

Tomorrow is the day! After all the planning, preparing, and counting down, we finally get to welcome our students back to The Underwood Branch! 🌿

We’re praying for a school year filled with growth, friendship, laughter, learning, and most importantly, growing together in our faith. We’re so thankful God has brought this school family together, and we can’t wait to see what He has in store for each of our students this year. 🙏💚

We’re so thankful God has given us another year together, and we can’t wait to see all He has in store for our school family. 💚
