Today, I had a conversation with one of our members that deeply encouraged me. She shared how she has been applying lessons learned through Confidence Elevates to empower her son as he navigates his college journey.
What became clear during our discussion was the importance of having intentional conversations with our young people and ensuring that our words are aligned with our actions. When I asked her how she was helping her son develop responsibility, she explained that she had intentionally given him greater ownership within the household. He is now responsible for paying certain bills, ensuring that lights are switched off, unplugging unused appliances, and becoming more mindful of spending in light of the rising cost of living.
Through these simple yet meaningful responsibilities, he has developed a greater appreciation for accountability, stewardship, and decision-making. It was a powerful reminder of a principle we often discuss in our meetings: ownership, engagement, and accountability are deeply interconnected.
When people are entrusted with responsibility, they become more engaged. When they are engaged, they develop a stronger sense of accountability. These experiences not only build character but also create opportunities for growth, learning, and leadership.
The conversation also reinforced the importance of being fully present and managing our emotions. When we take the time to listen, understand, and engage with others intentionally, we build richer and more meaningful connections that challenge us to think differently and grow together.
As we reflect, perhaps the question is not only what we are saying "yes" to, but also what we are saying "no" to. Are our choices, habits, and conversations moving us closer to the people we aspire to become?
Let us continue engaging in conversations that bring out the best in one another and strengthen the relationships that matter most. Let us remain committed to living out our mission and vision through our daily actions.
After all, meaningful change begins with us.

This entire week we celebrated and gave flowers to one of our speakers at our 7nth Annual Conference! We appreciate you Carol Majanga. We celebrate you and sincerely thank you for accepting our invitation to serve as one of our guest speakers. Your willingness to share your wisdom, experiences, and insights is both a privilege and an inspiration to our community.
I am reminded of one of my favorite quotes by Mother Teresa:
“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”
Thank you for being a valued thought partner and for the meaningful work you continue to do behind the scenes for Confidence Elevates. Your support, encouragement, and commitment to empowering others continue to create lasting impact in ways that words cannot fully express.
We are continually reminded that whatever God ordains, He sustains. This opportunity and partnership are truly special honors that we do not take for granted.

As we concluded our final Check-In session before taking a short break ahead of launching our eighth season at our conference, we found ourselves reflecting on what an exciting and meaningful journey this has been.
During this past Saturday’s session, one powerful question was posed:
“What is one thing that surprises you about you?” It is easy to think of what others think of us and often miss what this question is really asking us to do .... dive deep !
The responses were thoughtful, honest, and deeply insightful. What became increasingly clear throughout the conversation was the power of asking intentional questions and allowing silence to create space for deeper reflection. As participants shared, a recurring theme emerged — the importance of self-awareness and becoming intentional about our thoughts.
Many reflected on the internal dialogue that exists within each of us and the importance of developing habits that quiet distractions so we can become fully present with ourselves. These conversations continue to remind us that growth begins internally, through reflection, mindfulness, and intentional thinking.
Each -In has challenged us to dive deeper into visualizing success and committing ourselves to learning, thinking, and imagining a world where complex ideas are approached with curiosity rather than fear or propaganda. The conversations have encouraged collective insight, inspired excellence, and reinforced the importance of cultivating habits that challenge us to think differently while tapping into creativity and imagination in an increasingly distracted world.
We firmly believe these conversations are an integral part of building vibrant, psychologically safe organizations where individuals feel empowered to reflect, grow, and contribute meaningfully. As we prepare for the next season of our journey, we remain grateful for every conversation, every insight shared, and every individual committed to becoming better thinkers, leaders, and human beings.
