Investing in leadership means investing in students! Mrs. Dawson is attending the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) Summer Workshop in Dallas, where she is connecting with educational leaders from across the state, learning about current trends in education, and exploring new ways to support student success while strengthening collaboration and relationships among students, parents, and teachers.

We are grateful for leaders who continue to seek new perspectives and bring fresh ideas back to ACA as we prepare for another great school year!

Congratulations to our ACA Odyssey of the Mind team on an incredible experience at the 2026 Odyssey of the Mind World Finals in Ames, Iowa!

Seven Griffins joined more than 800 teams from around the world for three days of creativity, collaboration, problem solving, and competition. The ACA team competed with their trusty, wearable device that had to hilariously malfunction while giving them voice activated directions. The Griffins had to design, code, build and wear their device. They had an additional challenge where all of their backdrops, props and their device must fit inside a suitcase.

The team rose to the occasion, earning an impressive 10th place ranking in their Long Term Problem solution. They also tackled a spontaneous hands on challenge that tested their teamwork, adaptability, and creative thinking.

A special thank you to our administrators, coaches, families, and ACA community for supporting our Odyssey program and encouraging our students every step of the way. We are so proud of these Griffins for representing ACA on the world stage!

High expectations. Strong support. Lasting impact.

At ACA’s 8th Grade Graduation, keynote speaker Ms. Tealer reflected on teachers who challenged her, believed in her, and refused to let her take the easy way out. Her words captured what makes ACA special, a place where students are pushed to grow, supported along the way, and developed through wisdom, vigilance, courage, and strength.
