AFN’s success over the years is due to the commitment and effort of all our families at Fuente Nueva. As the natural progression is to leave Fuente when a student is ready for a higher education, AFN needs new members to join every year. AFN plans half a dozen or more events every year, and we couldn't do it without a dedicated core group of members. While helping out at the last minute with setting up is invaluable for any one of our events, helping to organize them is fundamental and undeniably necessary.

Please consider joining us for our monthly meeting, or email us at [email protected] with a note about yourself and how you see yourself engaging with AFN.

Sign up for Friday's author potluck is almost full! We still need 1 salad, 2 desserts, and setup and cleanup helpers. Please sign up if you can, so Natasha Wing and our Fuente staff feel the love.
Gracias! 💛

Friday, October 16th is the Children's Author Festival at Fuente Nueva Charter School! Every other year we get a visit from a local children's author as part of the Humboldt County Children's Author Festival. AFN coordinates a potluck lunch for the author, Fuente Teachers and Staff. This year's potluck will be on Friday, October 16th with a soup, salad and bread theme. We are asking families to provide delicious food for our amazing teachers, staff, and visiting author, Natasha Wing (Jalapeño Bagels). Please take a moment to sign up to make sure Natasha Wing and Fuente staff know they are deeply appreciated!

Items can be dropped off in the Teachers' Lounge on Friday, October 16th anytime BEFORE 10:30am.
Muchas gracias!
