Grand Chute Lions Club The Grand Chute Lions Club was first chartered in September 1977 with 33 members who had a vision of making the Fox Valley a better place in which to live.

Menu: Brats - $4, Burgers - $5, Cheeseburgers - $5.50, Lions cookies - $1, Soda-$1.50, Water-$1
Proceeds from fundraiser will support charitable causes supported by Grand Chute Lions. Here are a few of the major projects: provide meal at Pillars Adult and Family shelter monthly, Adopt-A-Family at Christmas, provide school supplies to 4 Appleton schools, Early Intervention Youth Christmas party, Lions Camp.

District 27B2 Governor Mike Milbach applied for a disaster relief grant from the Lions Clubs International Foundation. He purchased cleaning supplies for victims of the recent floods in New London and Fremont, WI. Flood clean up supplies included fans, brooms, garbage bags, buckets, bleach, gloves, shop vacs and sump pumps. The signage was provided by Karen Eike owner of W.G. Inc in Neenah. Lions in the photos include Wayne Heiman, Manawa Lions, Dan Knecht, Weyauwega/Fremont Lions, Mike Milbach and Dean Haas of the Grand Chute Lions.

Thank you to everyone who purchased roses to make Spring for Roses fundraiser a success. Money raised will be used by clubs to support their charitable causes. Special thank you to Memorial Florist for ordering and arranging delivery of roses. Also to Ace Hardware for allowing Grand Chute Lions to hold Cash and Carry rose sale at their store.

Cold weather on January 27th did not stop Grand Chute Lions from preparing and serving evening meal at Pillars Adult and Family Shelter. Mary Keefe and Jo Margetta were busy making meatballs while Steve Townsend, Tim Bantes and Jim Margetta peeled potatoes. After finishing with meatballs and potatoes peeling carrots was the next thing to do. Other members arrived to help with preparing salads, dishing up fruit so meal was ready to serve. Residents are always for thankful for meal served them. Volunteers leave feeling appreciated.

Time to order your roses!! The Grand Chute Lions club along with 25 other Lions club are pre selling a dozen roses for $18 until March 25, 2026. Delivery of roses will be Saturday, April 18, 2026, with some deliveries made on Friday, April 17, 2026. Grand Chute Lions club will use money they raised to support charitable causes such as Pillars Adult and Family Shelter, Adopt-A-Family, Wisconsin Lions Camp, providing dictionaries to 2nd grade students, school supplies and other projects.

Cold weather did not stop Grand Chute Lions club members Mike Demerath, Dean and Edith Haas, Jim and Jo Margetta and Steve Townsend from delivering school supplies on Tuesday, January 20th. School supplies were donated to the Appleton Bilingual School, Ferber School, Highlands School and Houdini School. Supplies are purchased in the fall when items are on sale to be delivered the second semester of school. Schools truly appreciated the supplies that were delivered as their supplies were running low. # School

At business meeting Grand Chute Lions club inducted Tonya Wickesberg into club. Tonya welcome. Pictured are with Tonya and her sponsor Past District Governor Dave Sievert and Past Council Chairman John Reil.
Food for needy was also collected at meeting. Pictured are Bill Veit, Dean Spoehr and Craig Boyson. Food collected will be donated to St. Joe's Food Program.

Grand Chute Lions have been busy spreading Christmas Cheer. Lions could be found ringing bells for Salvation Army at Woodman's. Picture are of a few members who help with bell ringing.
Thursday found Jim and Jo Margetta, Leah Desens, Mary Keefe, Amy Reil and Edith Haas wrapping Christmas gifts for families whose names were given to Grand Chute Lions by Outagamie County Health & Human Services Youth & Family Services Adopt-A-Family Program. Grand Chute Lions wish everyone an joyful holiday season.
