Wekiva Gem & Mineral Society Inc. Goals: To stimulate interest in identifying and collecting rocks & minerals. To provide educational opportunities to study rocks & minerals and lapidary arts.

To facilitate skills growth in areas related to lapidary arts, silversmithing & jewelry making. We are a brand new club so please bear with us as our website and social media accounts are all under construction. Please stay tuned for exciting events! General membership meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 pm. Each meeting includes a demonstration or discussion of a topic that

pertains to gems, rocks, minerals, fossils the lapidary arts or jewelry making. Classes are held in the home workshops of various members. The next general Membership Meeting is on January 16, 2023 and will be held at our new location! It will be at Westside Community Church. The address is 1937 Lakeville Rd., Apopka Fl 32703. We will be meeting in the portable classroom behind the church. When you pull into the drive, go straight until you are behind the large main building. Look immediately to the right and you will see the portable classroom behind the church. Turn right, yes it is ok to drive on the grass and park. We have so many things coming up, so stay tuned here for any upcoming news.

Our March 17 General Membership Meeting is a show and tell as well as an interactive rock ID event. This meeting is open to the public.

Members: Bring a couple uncommon rocks to share and/or to identify. If you have a precious cut gemstone you would like to identify, Thomas has offered his gemologist skill and equipment to help (as time permits).

Bonuses: Wear St. Patrick's Day green to receive an extra door prize ticket. We have a very special raffle item valued at $40.00. The raffle winner gets one entry to the annual scholarship drawing.

Raffle money benefits the scholarship fund.
