Camp La Verne Labor Day Family/Everybody Camp...A Grand COB Tradition For Over 100 Years!

Greetings Friends/Alumni of Camp La Verne!

If you didn't make it to CLV for Spring Open House, one of our great summer Youth Camps, or our Pancakes & Perseids Star Camp...here comes another chance!

All are welcome at this relaxed 3 day getaway with longtime CLV Camp Director, Janet Short!
This is truly a great way to spend Labor Day Weekend...And it's 20 degrees cooler up here!
Enjoy all the classic camp activities...Campfires, Sing-a-longs, Lake Hikes, Crafts, Canoeing, Outdoor Chapel Time, AND our 102nd Birthday!
Suggested Donation: $75 per person for three days of FUN! (Covers all meals, lodging, and craft supplies)

Are you missing Camp??? Then come join us for Perseids, Pleiades, & Pancakes at Camp La Verne!
August 15th 4pm -August 16th 11am

*Stargazers, Night Photographers, and Shooting Star enthusiasts alike.. Join us for an evening of viewing the Perseids Meteor Showers at its peak
If you like, cook a hotdog over the open fire for dinner, stay the night in a cozy cabin and wake to a pancake breakfast in the morning.

• Suggested Donation $25.00 this supports our send a kid to Camp program!
Don’t forget a warm jacket
• If you spend the night, bring your sleeping bag, pillow, and a sheet

Thank You Angeles Oaks Fire Crews 🔥…for your fast response to this abandoned smoldering campfire left by careless campers in the East Jenks Lake dispersed camping area! Zero Fires allowed in this area so please, just enjoy a good story and keep it to stargazing 🔭 ✨

Friends Of Camp! 
If you don’t have any plans for this weekend, remember, it’s always 20° cooler up the mountain! Come join us as we get Camp La Verne ready for our Summer Youth Programs and our upcoming Pacific Southwest District COB Pastors Retreat!  We’ve got leaves to rake and cabins to spruce up and lots of other things to keep our volunteers busy. As always, cozy cabins and meals provided. Just need to let us know you’re coming! There is actually a rideshare with Joelle O. and Jonas Funderbunk from the Glendale COB happening at the La Verne Church of The Brethren Saturday morning at around 8am sharp… two seats available if you want to just come up for the day. Hope to see you here!
