Over the past week, 156 wildfires have burned 94,067 acres statewide. As of this morning, the Ross Fire has burned approximately 85,303 acres and is 31% contained, continuing to impact communities across Palo Pinto and Jack Counties.
Please join us in praying for the firefighters and first responders putting themselves in harm’s way, the wildlife and livestocke caught in the path of these fires, and the homeowners, farmers, ranchers, and families whose lives and livelihoods are being affected.
We also want to recognize the men and women of our own Texas A&M Forest Service who are on the ground working tirelessly to protect Texas communities and natural resources. From coordinating statewide resources and intelligence to deploying firefighters, hand crews, equipment, and aircraft, they are working around the clock to contain these fires and keep Texans safe.
