The Anderson Obedience Training Club, meets every Tuesday, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Classes for Kindergarten Puppy Training and Beginners Basic class enroll every 5 weeks. The club also offers advanced training in obedience and Rally classes. Public is invited (without their dogs) to visit the classes any Tuesday evening. Update to AKC Rally Regulations.

Revisions to the Rally Regulations. Effective June 10, 2026.

Insert insupplement:
Rally Regulations Chapter 2
Section 15. Collars. All dogs in the rally ring must wear a properly fitted collar approved by the judge. No dog may enter the ring, either for judging or for awards, with unacceptable equipment. No special training collars, such as electronic collars or prong collars will be permitted. Nothing may be hanging from the dog's collar.

Adds the ommission of "Nothing may be hanging from the dog's collar".
Deleted "Harnesses are not allowed on the show grounds".

Enrollment for puppy classes and beginning basic obedience class will be Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Enrollment will begin at 6:30 PM in the Indiana National Guard Armory, 125 S. Scatterfield Rd., Anderson, IN. Have your puppy or dog on leash and bring current proof of shots.

AKC Obedience Regulation Amendment. The AKC Board of Directors at its May 2026 meeting voted to remove the words "MUST RUN" (Chapter 3 Novice, Section 5, Heel on Leash and Figure 8). Replace with - "FAST" which means that the handler and dog must move forward at a noticeabley accelerated speed. This change is effective June 1, 2026.
