Today's Senior Spotlight is shining on Brizeida Lopez, aka Brizzy!😎 Brizzy joined AYC in Fall of 2024 and has served over 200 hours since becoming a member!🤩

Brizzy has been a ray of sunshine in the AYC office, showing kindness to everyone she comes across. Through hard work and practice, she has moved up the AYC ranks from lead attorney, to judge, and now presiding judge!🌟 Brizzy carries herself with humility in the courtroom — always asking for help when needed or offering help when she sees someone else may need it.💚 She has also helped teach many trainings and AYC classes and consistently helped with our outreach or fundraising events.

Thank you for your dependability and passion, Brizzy! Good luck in college and beyond!🥳💙

Nothing says summertime like enjoying a cookie in the sunshine! Join Anchorage Youth Court TODAY - Friday June 5th for our First Friday Bake Sale & Open House - for sweet treats that have been homemade with love by our AYC youth members and clients! We will also have a ton of books and some art for sale as well!

ALL proceeds benefit the AYC Youth Scholarship Fund, so the money is going directly to the teens volunteering hundreds of hours each year to serve their community through our alternative justice system.

Stop by the AYC office (838 W 4th Ave) from 3-7 pm and say hello! 🍪❤🍪❤

Today's Senior Spotlight is shining on AYC's outgoing Assistant Chief Judge, Brooke Earle!🥳 Brooke joined AYC in Fall of 2022 and has dedicated over 140 hours to our program since!🙌

Brooke came into AYC as a natural storyteller and debater. Her extroverted personality served her well in court, catapulting her from lead attorney to Presiding Judge. Brooke utilized her knowledge from her legal studies at middle college and debate to provide wise advice for her peers and another perspective when addressing mistakes.🤲

Outside of court, Brooke has participated in all three of our Murder Mystery Fundraisers these past few years, acting as a suspect and helping to host last year's event. These fundraisers wouldn't have been the same without Brooke's passionate performances!🤩

Thank you for supporting AYC, Brooke! We cannot wait to see all of the things you accomplish. 💙

Today we are shining the senior spotlight on our outgoing Vice President, Claire Jong!🥳 Claire joined AYC in Fall of 2023 and has served more than 120 hours during her time volunteering with us.🤩

Claire has excelled in all roles in the courtroom, demonstrating the fairness and balance as a prosecutor, mentorship and guidance as a defense attorney, and leadership and compassion as a judge and presiding judge.🤲💙
Outside of court, Claire served on last school year's E-Board and Board of Directors, has helped with mock hearings, and supported AYC's outreach endeavors. She did all this while maintaining high grades and participating in sports and working at Nyquist Law!🙌

Claire is a wonderful role model and we cannot wait to see everything she accomplishes!🌟😊

We are elated to share that former AYC member Grace Kolean has returned this summer to serve as our Restorative Justice Intern! Grace will help us process our RJ data from the last couple of years and incorporate this information into our website and curriculum, as well as, help with AYC hearings and trainings.
