We are excited to introduce Claire E. (Iqitqiraq) Murray as the new Executive Director of Skiku Inc.
Claire is a proud NANA shareholder who is originally from Kiana, Alaska, where she learned to ski as a toddler. Nordic skiing has been a lifelong part of her story, providing her with connection, confidence, purpose, and an outlet through life’s challenges.
One of the greatest privileges of her life is now helping make skiing accessible to children and families across Alaska—especially in the rural communities she knows and loves.
Through Skiku, Claire is committed to bringing Nordic skiing, equipment, coaching, and opportunity to communities throughout the NANA region and across Alaska. Her hope is that every child has the chance to find an activity that brings them joy, builds confidence, connects them to the land, and gives them a sense of belonging.
We are excited for this next chapter and for the opportunity to continue growing Nordic skiing in Northwest Alaska and beyond.
