๐Ÿท๐ŸŽก FUN FACTS ABOUT THE DEERFIELD FAIR! ๐ŸŽก๐Ÿด

Did you know the Deerfield Fair has been bringing fun, farming, animals, and community together for nearly 150 years? Here are a few fun facts about this New Hampshire tradition!

๐ŸŒพ ๐Ÿ“… Dating Back to 1876!
The Deerfield Fair began in 1876 as part of the celebration of Americaโ€™s Centennial. It also helped bring visitors to Deerfield after the town was bypassed by the railroad boom.

๐Ÿด ๐Ÿ„ Animals Are the Stars!
The fair has deep agricultural roots and welcomes hundreds of animals, including horses, cows, and massive pulling oxen. With upwards of 300 horses, thereโ€™s certainly no shortage of four-legged fairgoers!

๐Ÿท ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ The Famous Pig Scramble!
One of the fairโ€™s most exciting traditions is the Pig Scramble! Local children race around the arena trying to catch a piglet. Itโ€™s loud, lively, and always a crowd favorite!

๐ŸŽก ๐Ÿ˜ฒ Talk About a Crowd!
More than 100,000 visitors can make their way to Deerfield during the fair! For a few days, this small New Hampshire town becomes one of the busiest places around.

โค๏ธ From animals and agriculture to rides, food, games, and community traditions, the Deerfield Fair truly has something for everyone!

September is Deaf Awareness Month, a time to recognize the Deaf community, celebrate Deaf culture, and raise awareness about communication access and inclusion.

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) protects the rights of people who are Deaf or hard of hearing, including the right to effective communication and equal access to programs, services, and activities. Effective communication may include qualified sign language interpreters, captioning, assistive listening devices, or other appropriate accommodations.

Accessibility means making sure everyone has the opportunity to participate, communicate, and make their own choices. This month, take a moment to learn, listen, and consider how you can help create more inclusive spaces for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing.

New Hampshire Association of the Deaf has many events during Deaf Awareness week. Visit their website for more details: https://nhadinc.org/2026/09/14/deaf-awareness-week-2026-2/

๐Ÿ’™ Friendship makes life brighter! ๐Ÿ’•

Thereโ€™s something truly special about having a friend by your side, someone to laugh with, share experiences with, and simply enjoy the moment. Friendship is about connection, acceptance, encouragement, and being there for one another.

At Opportunity Networks, we love seeing friendships grow and flourish! ๐ŸŒŸ Whether itโ€™s sharing a smile, enjoying an activity together, or creating memories in the community, these connections remind us that life is better together.
