Southern New Hampshire Hospital in Nashua, NH was one on the first places Bill and Nellie started visiting on a weekly basis in May 2022, after they were a certified therapy dog team. A very nice thank-you write-up can be found on the SNHH page.

Bill and Nellie were awarded the Parkland Medical Center Frist Humanitarian Volunteer Award that recognizes individuals who exemplify the organization's culture and values and have a positive impact on patients, colleagues and communities. The award was presented by the hospital's CEO, Whitney Fenyak. In addition to the certificate shown, they received a beautiful potted plant arrangement and $1,000 to go toward the charity of their choice. Bill selected the Morris Animal Foundation in Denver, Colorado for their Golden Retriever Lifetime Study, whose purpose is to determine the causes of the high rate of cancer in the breed.

Jean and Malcolm recently began supporting the new children's reading program at the Davis Public Library in Stoddard, NH. Malcolm is even on the front cover of the library's publicity poster. They meet with the kids, by appointment only, every even Thursday of the month. Keep up the good work. You are making a big impact on these young minds.

Let's all send out a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Liane and Jolene for earning their Therapy Dog title from the American Kennel Club (AKC) recently. This TD team logged 50 TD visits to earn the AKC certificate and patch. Liane and Jolene visit hospitals, schools, colleges and libraries. They are one of the hardest working teams in our TDOSNH group. Help me recognize this achievement with a comment or like below. Keep up the good work.

Liane/Jolene and Giovanna/Nutella were invited to Rivier University to help open the new Student Store and Cafe. Over 30 students and staff stopped in to say hello to these two therapy dog teams. What a fun time talking to the students and answering their questions about what a therapy dog does and how to become a certified therapy dog. You can tell by the smiles, it was a good time for all.

Let’s all welcome Jean and Malcolm, a five-year-old Golden Retriever that lives in Stoddard, NH. Malcolm loves the outdoors and can spend hours running around in the snow in the winter and taking endless hikes in the summer. He loves snuggling with the humans in his life, including Jean’s six-year-old granddaughter. Malcolm passed his Canine Good Citizenship test a little over a year ago and was recently certified by Alliance of Therapy Dogs, using their Alternate Review Process. He can’t wait to go out and meet people and spread joy. What a great addition to the TDOSNH team!
