BSA Troop 15 - Merrimack, NH Merrimack's oldest Troop, founded in Jan 1957, Troop 15 is a scout-led with a strong outdoor program Meetings: Tuesday nights from 7-8:30.

Established in 1957, Troop 15 is a scout-led traditional troop with a strong outdoor program. Boys and girls 11 to 17 welcome - NO prior scouting experience necessary! Activities the scouts have planning and participated in last year: Camping, canoeing, swimming, hiking, bicycling, and skiing. We've also got a great group of energetic, trained, experienced, dedicated, caring and patient men and women adult leaders that guide the boys along.

Congratulations to Troop 15's newest Eagle Scouts - Adam and Cameron in October, and Emily in September. Adam's project was a film drying cabinet for the photography department at MHS. Cameron assembled more than 200 backpacks filled with school supplies for distribution by the Boys and Girls Club. Emily's project involved building a flower garden at a group home for adults with developmental disabilities. Great work, Eagle Scouts!!

In July, Troop 15 returned to Camp J. N. Webster in Connecticut for summer camp. It was a busy week with scouts participating in a huge variety of programs - everything from Automotive Maintenance to Whitewater. We sent 40 scouts and 5 leaders. This is a small selection of photos. Over the summer, parents should have received a link to the google album with every photo and video. Let us know if you didn't get it.

Check out this awesome collaboration! 🚒⚜️

Troop 15 joined Troop 22 of Amherst and Amherst Fire & EMS for a mock wilderness rescue at the Joe English Reservation. Fun was had by all—and we learned some pretty cool stuff along the way!

A huge thank you to Troop 22 and Amherst Fire & EMS for including us in such a great hands-on learning experience!

🏹 Bullseyes, bows, and a whole lot of fun! 🏹

Troop 15G recently spent the day working on the Archery Merit Badge with the incredible Taewon Jin. Scouts learned proper form, range safety, and the importance of patience and focus while putting their skills to the test on the range. From first-time archers to impressive shots near the center of the target, everyone made great progress and had a blast!

A huge thank you to Taewon for sharing his knowledge, encouragement, and passion for archery. The Scouts left with new skills, growing confidence, and plenty of great memories.

Lauren recently completed her Eagle Project which involved removing an old bridge and rebuilding it over a small creek at her church. It's now larger, sturdier, and accessible. It took a lot of volunteers to complete this project and it turned out great! Congratulations, Lauren!

In May, scouts of 15B chose sports and games as their monthly theme. We revisited Camp Wanocksett and stayed in the Abnaki site next to the sports field. Activities included a five-mile hike around the Thorndike on old dirt roads, gaga ball, basketball, football, frisbee, card games, and about a hundred riddles. We had perfect weather and scouts stayed out on the fields until late at night. We also worked on rank advancements. It was a great weekend. Thanks to Mr Pittman, Mr White, and Mr Walters for making the trip possible. No thanks to the black flies and ticks though!
