🐾 Urgent Help Needed: Keeping a Family Together in Wilton 🐾
Imagine fighting for years just to have basic utilities like power, water, and heat—only to end up losing your home anyway. This is the heartbreaking reality for a young woman in her 20s right in our community. After a grueling legal battle with a landlord that left her without running shower water or cooking gas for two years, she and her beloved pets were recently evicted.

Today, she is doing everything she can just to survive and keep her family together, living out of an RV with her two dogs (including a sweet 15-year-old senior!) and two cats.

With summer temperatures soaring, living in an RV with no AC has become a dangerous crisis. They’ve been trying to stay cool with a kiddie pool, but just this week, her only fan broke. She works a full-time job but has no car, making it incredibly difficult to get basic supplies.

We want to help her and her four-legged companions stay safe, cool, and together.

Wolfie’s Big Scare: A Happy Ending (With a Plot Twist!) 🐾❤️

There is some incredibly good news to share, mixed with a little bit of a wild rollercoaster ride!

Sweet Wolfie gave everyone a massive scare and ended up in the emergency room last night. It all started with a trip to urgent care. After some X-rays, the vets were confident there was a blockage, and he was rushed to the ER for emergency surgery.

But here is the crazy twist: once the surgeons started the procedure, they realized there was no blockage at all! 😮

It turns out his intestines were just severely inflamed, possibly from eating something he was allergic to. While the mystery ingredient is still unknown, it is an incredible relief that he didn't need a major extraction.

The best news of all? Wolfie is heading home tonight! 🏡✨

Of course, emergency detours like this come with a hefty price tag—this unexpected adventure cost us $2,500. But seeing this brave boy safe and on the mend is worth every single penny.

🚨 CRITICAL UPDATE: The Greyhounds need us TODAY! 🐾

We have a historic chance to pass the U.S. Greyhound Protection Act as part of the new Farm Bill. This would effectively outlaw dog racing across the country!

However, a last-minute amendment (Amendment #269) has been introduced to protect the very last racing tracks remaining in West Virginia. We cannot let this progress be derailed.

How you can help right now:

1️⃣ E-mail your Representative: Use the link below to send a pre-written letter urging them to OPPOSE Amendment #269.

2️⃣ Make a quick call: Dial the Congressional switchboard at (202) 225-3121. Ask for your House Member and tell them: "Please oppose Amendment #269. Greyhound racing is cruel, and it’s time to protect these dogs nationwide."

Let’s ensure these amazing animals are seen as the companions they are, not as racing machines. ¡Podemos lograrlo! (We can do it!)

🧡 FOUND! MR. SHELDON IS HOME! 🧡
We have some wonderful news to share—Mr. Sheldon (Shelley) has safely returned home! Elizabeth is over the moon to have her sweet boy back where he belongs. Thank you so much to everyone in the Nashua community who shared the post, kept an eye out, and sent such kind thoughts and prayers. It truly takes a village!

We are so happy for Elizabeth and Shelley. What a wonderful night indeed! 🐾🏠

Name: Mr. Sheldon (goes by "Shelley")

Description: Orange tabby, very friendly and lovable.

Last Seen: Friday night around 10:00 PM near 28 Bates Dr, Nashua, NH. He likely slipped out when the dog was being let out.

Shelley is a sweetheart, and Elizabeth is desperate to get him back home. If you live in the Bates Drive area or nearby, please check your porches, garages, or under your cars.

🌈 Rest in Peace, Sweet Nagisa 🌈

It is with heavy hearts that we share some very sad news from the Tails to Freedom family.

Earlier this week, we stepped in to help a beautiful soul named Nagisa, who was undergoing surgery to remove a mass near her liver. We were hopeful for a recovery, but during the procedure, it was discovered that Nagisa was covered in cancer. To prevent further suffering, the difficult but kindest decision was made to let her go.

Nagisa was truly a "ride or die" companion. Her family describes her as the most loyal, smart, and caring friend anyone could ever ask for. She had a way of brightening every room with her big smile and beautiful face. Whether she was wagging her tail in excitement for a new baby or simply asking to go wherever her humans went just to be near them, her love was boundless.

While her time with us was cut short, we are honored that we could provide her with the care she needed at the end. We want to thank the other organizations who collaborated with us to support her, and most importantly, we send our deepest love to her family.

Nagisa, you were the "sweetest mamas," and you will never be forgotten. Run pain-free over the Rainbow Bridge, sweet girl. 🐾 🕊️
