Join us to learn about a new interactive resource, Roots of Reproductive Justice: 500 Years of Movement Stories. Collective Power and its partners will be previewing this digital tool at the 54th Annual Association for Ethnic Studies national conference in Los Angeles this weekend.

Using Roots, our workshop on October 17 will illustrate how history is central to the reproductive justice framework and how that history can support current movement work.

California students and faculty from K-12 or higher-learning institutions can attend for free!

A partnership between scholars and activists, Roots of RJ came out of the Voices of Feminism project at the Sophia Smith Collection.

We are teaming up with UPenn’s Reproductive Justice on the Street to host a special in-person and virtual event. Dr. Jallicia Jolly, author of the forthcoming book “Ill Erotics” will lead a workshop on U.S. maternal health equity.

This event is part of the Philadelphia Reproductive Justice Week of Action (RJ WOA). From October 9-17, Penn Reproductive Justice and Reproductive Justice on the Street student groups are organizing a series of events spanning reproductive justice topics. The event is sponsored by national and local organizations, including Reproductive Freedom for All, SisterSong, Collective Power for Reproductive Justice, and Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania.

New Substack alert! In a recent Pop Panic Substack, Shawn Jiminez (Collective Rising Intern ‘26) dives into how state level campaigns to pass anti-trans ballot initiatives are evolving and why we must stay vigilant against these exclusionary tactics.

Jiminez uses Maine’s recently defeated anti-trans ballot initiative as a case study to trace the shift in rhetoric that Christian nationalists use to justify exclusionary tactics targeting trans youth. Their messaging is no longer limited to panic around birth rates: it’s appropriating justice-oriented language to exclude and dehumanize trans youth.

Are you a Five Colleges student interested in organizing for reproductive justice on campus? Join Collective Power as a Student Group Coordinator!

Working in collaboration with one other Student Group Coordinator, you will play an integral role in organizing events that engage the Five College community in the reproductive justice movement.

The deadline to apply is September 7.

The time commitment for this role ranges from 8-15 hours per week over the course of the 2026-27 school year.

The hourly wage for this role is $15.

Collective Power is heading to the birth place of reproductive justice to attend SisterSong's Let’s Talk About S*x conference this weekend!

Collective Power’s Anne Hendrixson, along with collaborators, will present their panel: How to fight pronatal population control in the U.S.

They’ll discuss how U.S. pronatalism gives way to anti-natal population control policies and reproductive oppression along white supremacist lines. Panelists will present strategies rooted in intersectional feminist resistance.

New resource alert! Ahead of World Population Day on July 11, we’re launching Pop Panic: a free Substack produced in collaboration with experts representing a range of perspectives on population control, feminism, and human rights.

Since the United Nations Development Program established World Population Day in 1989, the day has represented panic around population growth and decline simultaneously. Pop Panic confronts contradictions in today’s population control discourse and interrogates the eugenic vision of whose babies — and lives— have value.

In April, Collective Power joined BREHA Collective and other reproductive justice leaders to discuss reproductive access. Conversations like these are especially critical in the context of an evolving legal landscape. Take, for example, the recent court rulings on mail-order mifepristone (which is still available by mail in all 50 states).
