The Archaeological Theatre Company produces original autobiographical works by queer and trans performers, creating space to explore our personal histories and identities The Archaelogical Theatre Company's mission is to promote the stories and voices of queer, trans, and neurodivergent performance artists, whether those are "queer" stories or just works by queers. The past is present and our hist
ories shift as we shift the dirt. Archaeological stories are experimental, immersive, simple, emergent. Our first production is "Childish Things," a show written and performed by Hamlet Cooper, which will premiere in Baltimore November 9-12. "Childish Things" explores archaeology as a way of relating to ourselves, age as a social construct, and the perils of saving your chat logs. The theory behind "Childish Things" and Archaeological Theatre are the same: the people we were and the people we are exist together, converse, and for most of us, they could stand to get along better.
