Friends of the Amesbury Public Library

11/02/2026

💛 It's been a busy month for the Friends! Between National Friends of Libraries Week and our first-ever Silent Disco, we've had lots to celebrate!

If you're new here, welcome! Let's take a moment to share what the Friends do and how you can get involved.

We support Amesbury Public Library by helping fund programs, services, resources, and experiences for all ages. We also run Stacks Bookshop, where every purchase helps support the library!

Okay…but what exactly IS a Silent Disco? 🪩

It’s a dance party with a twist! Instead of music blasting through speakers, you’ll get a pair of wireless headphones and dance along to the music you hear through them. With two playlists to choose from, you can dance to the ’80s & ’90s or keep it going with the ’90s to today!

Think of it as singing in the shower…minus the nakedness and the slippery dance floor.

Grab your headphones, find your groove, and get ready to dance!
