The Amesbury Elder Elves program is dedicated to bringing joy to seniors in our community, including those in affordable and senior housing, through holiday stockings filled with thoughtful gifts.

We are so excited to announce that the Amesbury Elder Elves are gearing up for our third year of spreading holiday cheer to our beloved senior community!

Last year, with the support of over 80 elves, we were able to provide stocking care packages and/or items to more than 400 seniors!

This included every resident at The Towers, Heritage Vale, and Powwow Villa. Every recipient of Meals on Wheels, deliveries to social workers at Pettengill House, the Council on Aging, local nursing homes, and the Veterans Office for distribution.

We also delivered a bin of cold-weather accessories to the Council on Aging to support the unhoused seniors in Amesbury.

Seeing the smiles on the faces of our seniors when they received their gifts was absolutely heartwarming and a true reminder of the power of community.

We saw friends, families, and coworkers, come together, many participating in memory of a loved one to make a real difference. Thank you to everyone who supported us! You really stepped up, and we are so grateful.

There are many ways you can help us make the season brighter for our senior community, reminding them that they are loved and appreciated including:
Signing up to donate a stocking/care package. Hosting a collection at your workplace, school, or with a group.
Donating items to go into stockings.
Purchasing items from our Amazon wishlist & more.

Shoutout to The Pettengill House, Inc. for all of their support for our Elder Elves initiative. Not only did they partner with us as our nonprofit agency, members of their team also personally delivered 70 care packages to seniors that they are working with. They do such amazing work for our community all year long and we’re so thankful for this opportunity to collaborate with them.

2025 Amesbury Elder Elves is a wrap and we are so excited to share our collective impact!

A HUGE thank you to the most incredible group of community elves who made this possible for the second year in a row! Thank you to the 83 community members who signed up to contribute a total of 202 complete care packages and the numerous businesses, organizations and individuals who made financial contributions and/or loose item donations which allowed us to assemble almost 200 more care packages. Combined we created and delivered holiday gifts to almost 400 seniors in our Amesbury community!

Recipients included every senior living in Amesbury housing authority affordable housing, every recipient of meals on wheels, many residents of our local nursing facilities, seniors working with our local veterans office, The Pettengill House, Inc. and Amesbury Council on Aging.

This reach would not be possible if it weren’t for the incredible amount of support and generosity shown by our community.

Shoutout to the incredible crew of elves who volunteered their time today to make deliveries!

Last but not least, thank you to Amesbury Chevrolet for being our main collection site, not just giving up a huge portion of their showroom but also providing a conference room for storage and assembling and greeting each donation with a smile.

Together we have brought so much joy to hundreds of seniors throughout Amesbury and we’re beyond grateful for your support. Happy holidays to you all ♥️

The Amesbury Elder Elves have been hard at work, and the workshop at Amesbury Chevrolet is officially overflowing!

We are so excited to share that 375 care packages are packed and ready to be delivered to our wonderful senior community. Each bag is filled with treats, essentials, and most importantly a whole lot of love from fellow community members.

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who donated, volunteered, and helped us not only reach, but exceed our goal. We couldn't do this without this incredible Amesbury community!

We want to extend a massive thank you to our friends at Aluxety for their incredible support of the Elder Elves donation drive again this year.

Not only did their Realtors show up to their holiday party with bags full of thoughtful stocking stuffers, but the company also provided a generous donation to help us fill the gaps for our seniors.

Thank you, Aluxety, for helping us bring a little extra warmth and cheer to our senior community!

We have such an incredibly generous business community here in Amesbury including these three organizations who collected items with their employees and customers to support our elder elves initiative.

What a busy day for all our elves!!!

We spent the afternoon with some fellow elves assembling the many loose item donations that have been dropped off or shipped to us. Special shoutout to Patrick R McCormick : Financial Representative & Financial Planner, who for the second year in a row has forgone traditional holiday cards to his clients, instead spending those funds to support our initiative. When we’re done assembling all of the loose donations we will have put together more than 100 stocking care packages!

Another shoutout to elf Catherine who we had the pleasure of bumping into as she made her delivery and shared that while she signed up to provide 10 stockings, her family enjoyed it so much they ended up making 19!

When we left, the tree at Amesbury Chevrolet was surrounded by 260 gifts, over the next day while the rest of the donations pour in we expected to reach our goal of 350+!

Thank you all for taking on this amazing project with us again this year, we’d be lying if we said it wasn’t our favorite holiday tradition ♥️

HUGE thanks to this crew from Coastal Connections Inc. for helping us transport some of the donations to Amesbury Chevrolet. We are so grateful for their help!
