Utah High School Mountain Biking Affiliate League to National Interscholastic Cycling Association

The Utah High School Cycling League is the largest league in the nation with 1576 9th-12th grade student athletes and 806 7th-8th grade student athletes participating on 80 teams across the state. The league was organized in 2011 under the National Interscholastic Cycling Association, a 501(c)3 non profit organization. We facilitate the development of high school cycling teams/clubs for grades 7 –

12 and provide the education, training, licensing and insurance for coaches and volunteers. We also provide a high-quality mountain bike racing experience, while emphasizing the value of each participant (no bench) and placing camaraderie, positive sporting behavior and the cultivation of health over competition.

On behalf of the Utah High School Cycling League, we’d like to extend a warm invitation to riders, their families, and our coaches, to join us for an unforgettable weekend at the 2026 WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series at Soldier Hollow, Utah, September 19th–20th, 2026.

This world-class event will bring the best mountain bike athletes in the world to Utah, and we’d love for our athletes to be part of the excitement. From elite racing and fan experiences to the incredible atmosphere that only mountain biking can create, this will be a weekend to remember.

The Utah High School Cycling League has partnered with event organizers to offer a 20% discount on general admission tickets for NICA riders and their families. Please contact your head coach to get the discount code.

The Utah High School Cycling League has launched a new app that allows high school teams to log their riding locations and times. Anyone can sign up for view-only access to see where and when the teams will be throughout Utah. To join, visit https://trailsync.org

Tip: You can set filters for your favorite trails.

Keep in mind that this is a new system for the teams, so it may take a few weeks for them to log all their activities.

The Utah League puts on one of the best races series in the world; that is in part due to the amazing Race Crew we have. Our Race Crew are the heart of a race weekend, working 4-5 races during the season in different capacities. We are one week away from announcing our race venues for the 2026 season! This is a big year for us as we celebrate our 15th anniversary!
