There’s a quiet kind of brave that happens in rehearsal. A hand goes up to try a solo. A voice sings out a little stronger than last week. Someone risks a high note. Someone laughs, tries again, and doesn’t give up. It doesn’t look dramatic, but this is where growth happens.

That’s what we love most about this season with our Youth Choir. Not just the concerts. Not just the applause. But watching young singers grow more confident, more connected, more themselves.
And after this concert, we begin something new — our Simple Gifts music film project, a creative experience where every voice matters. Where courage is practiced week after week.

This simple circle game — acting out Sleeping Beauty — has become a favorite in our choirs. They laugh. They dance. They sing at the top of their lungs.

Not polished. Not perfect.
Just fully alive.

In a world where so much childhood happens on a screen, this feels different.

Real voices.
Real movement.
Real connection.

And in those joyful minutes, something deeper is forming.

They practice courage.
They use their imaginations.
They sing without fear.
They learn to belong.

Time-Capsule Tuesday: One year ago, we were packing up music and piling into cars for the Cache Valley Choir Festival — and our singers came home stronger, closer, and more confident than when they left. Festivals are exciting. But what matters most is who our singers become in the process. And we’re about to begin again. Join us for new opportunities for growth:

Young Singers (ages 5–8) is a joyful, small-group class designed for children who love to use their voice and are ready to grow.

In just 8 weeks, students will:

🎶 Learn to sing together
👀 Follow a conductor
