Beautiful flight over Mt. Timpanogos with Miles and Kennedy. Urban Flight Club is a 501c3 non-profit that teaches at-risk youth to earn their way out of poverty through professional careers in aviation.

Kennedy was adopted from Argentina and has dreamed about flying her whole life. It was fun to see her face light up when the engine started and she was behind the yoke. It was amazing to see her view opened when she thought of herself as a professional pilot. That is why we do this.

Did you know that the poverty rate in Atlanta is 22.4%. That means that one out of every 4.5 residents of Atlanta lives in poverty.

St. Louis metro area is at 20.3 percent poverty. The good news is it was 23.8 percent the year before. A family of four living in poverty has a household income of $25,100 or less.

Baton Rouge has a poverty rate of 26.0%. One out of every 3.8 residents of Baton Rouge lives in poverty.Urban Flight Club, a non-profit charity, are trying in our own small way, to help at-risk teens break the revolving door of poverty by teaching them to become commercial pilots.

They get funding but are also required to contribute. We are looking for at-risk teen who would benefit from this training. We are also looking for flight instructors who are willing to donate some of their time. Finally, we are looking for funding to help each teen make it through the program.
