We had such a blast stepping outside of our usual routine for a little team-building adventure! 🤎 🦋

This week, our Amarillo Angels team took a trip downtown for a scavenger hunt, where we explored, laughed, took candid pictures, and spent time together, building our connection as a team.

One of the things we were challenged to find in the scavenger hunt was a heart to represent being “passionate about what we do.” And honestly, it ended up being one of our favorite parts of the day. 🫶

Because behind Amarillo Angels is a team of people who genuinely love being together, love this mission, and are passionate about showing up for children, youth, and families experiencing foster care. 🤍

These photos may not be the perfectly posed team pictures we’re used to—but we think they capture something even better: who we really are.

We’re grateful for the work we get to do, the people we get to do it with, and the families we get to support. And if you can’t tell from these pictures… we have a LOT of fun doing it together. 🥳

One of our incredible Love Box groups has been walking alongside a family of five, a single dad and his four children, and recently they’ve helped celebrate three of the kiddos birthdays. 🎈🎊

We asked the dad how things have been going and he shared that this group has been SUCH a blessing and has stepped in to help his family in so many ways.💛

This is exactly what the Love Box Program is about: not just meeting a need, but building relationships, showing up, and reminding families that they are not alone on this journey.

We are so grateful for groups like this who say “yes” and choose to love a family well in the big moments and the small. 🫶

What a day on the course! ⛳️🏌🏼‍♀️

We had the best time at the Amarillo Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament.

For some of us, it was our first time playing golf in years… and for others, our first time ever. Needless to say, we missed the ball more times than we can count, took a few unexpected off-road adventures in the golf cart 😂, and made some memories along the way!

We may have gotten rained out, but we definitely made the most of every minute and our team had a phenomenal time together. ♥️

A huge thank you to the Amarillo Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and ACFCU for including us and making it such a fun day! We’re already looking forward to the next one! 🏌️‍♀️

What is a Love Box Group? ♥️

A Love Box Group is a community of people who come together to support children and families in foster care through Amarillo Angels.

Together, Love Box Groups provide consistent encouragement, connection, and practical support to a child or family navigating the foster care system. It can look like sending birthday cards, celebrating milestones, providing needed items, or simply reminding a child that they are seen, valued, and loved.

It’s more than a box — it’s a tangible reminder that someone within the community is in their corner. 👩🏾‍🤝‍👩🏼👨🏻‍🤝‍👨🏽

It’s Family Feature Friday!!💛✨

We recently added a new kinship family to our Love Box Waitlist. This family consists of a husband and wife who have placement of a 3-month-old little boy. They are looking for emotional support and, most importantly, someone who can simply come alongside them and be there as they navigate this new journey. They live in Groom, Texas, so having someone who is comfortable with the distance would be a great fit for this loving family!

Love Box Match Spotlight ✨

We are so excited to celebrate a beautiful new Love Box match between Tana and Josie!

Tana has been part of the Amarillo Angels family for several years and has always had a heart for serving others. Tana is especially excited and grateful for the opportunity to now be part of Josie’s journey through our Love Box program.

Josie is a single mom who is currently fostering a sweet, energetic 3-year-old who loves to read and discover something new every day. As she continues navigating the joys and challenges of fostering, Josie shared how incredibly grateful she is for this support. This connection came at just the right time and is a reminder that she doesn’t have to walk this journey alone. 💗

We believe this match will be a beautiful source of encouragement for both Tana and Josie. Tana gets the opportunity to serve, encourage and build a meaningful connection, while Josie has someone walking beside her, offering support and reminding her that she has a community cheering her on.

Sometimes a match is more than a box—it’s a relationship, a listening ear, encouragement, and knowing someone is there. We can’t wait to see how this Love Box connection grows! 🌱💗
