Altoona Compassion Coalition The Altoona Compassion Coalition began as a vision at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. That food distribution program continues to grow. Thank you!

The mission of the Altoona Compassion Coalition as a community based, volunteer, nonprofit organization, is to provide food and other services to those in need in an efficient, compassionate and non-judgmental manner. It was inspired by the success of the Feed A Child Nyre You program where weekend meals are packed each week for up to 65 students in the Pedersen Elementary School. Research reveale

d there were several families in Altoona who experience food insecurity and must travel to neighboring communities for assistance. A task force was formed to look into providing a food pantry within our community. That initial effort resulted in the formation of the Altoona Compassion Coalition. The Altoona Compassion Coalition, as a community-based effort, operates a food pantry and continues to explore new ways to meet the needs of fellow citizens under the motto of "neighbors serving neighbors." The Altoona Compassion Coalition is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. EIN 47-5364553
