We love a lil’ Christmas Magic 🎁🐾
A week and a half ago, our Executive Director found this floppy puppy running around a parking lot. After a 5 day stray hold at Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) we made a promise to find him a forever home. Today we made the trip up north to bring him to his new mama. She unfortunately lost her beloved dog to cancer a few weeks ago and when she saw Roscoe, she knew she wanted to be his forever home. 🏡 🖤
It was an absolute pleasure to match these two just a week away from Christmas. This is why we do what we do, no matter what resources we do or don’t have. No dog deserves to be left alone out in the cold.
Roscoe, we can’t wait to watch you grow into those long legs and floppy ears. You are so loved, and have a wonderful life ahead of you. Congratulations sweet baby boy! 🐾🖤🥰🥹

With our rescue program being on a much needed “pause” due to burnout and lack of funds, we are creating other ways we can help the animals at Madacc find forever homes.
Please go adopt a dog. Stop purchasing dogs from backyard breeders, puppy mills and puppy stores. There are hundreds of amazing dogs at Madacc. This crisis can be solved by making that choice. 🖤🖤🖤

It’s official, Princeton is adopted! He’s now known as Murphy and he’s hit the absolute jackpot with his new parents, Amy and Ben!

Clearly he was entirely too excited to find his furever and refused to take anything but action shots.

Our derpy boy met Amy and Ben in July when his foster dad was on vacation and it was love at first wiggle…or maybe first turkey legged sploot. The foster to adopt process was taken nice and slow to allow their sweet senior pittie, Rollins, the chance to settle into life as a big sis. In the process, sweet Rollins crossed over the rainbow bridge due to health problems. Murphy was able to bring comfort to everyone during the transition.

You’re home, Murphy, and you are so dang loved already. You’re lucky you’re so cute and funny. Make sure to at least say, “excuse me,” when you burp or fart…maybe keep the screaming to a minimum too.

Thank you to every single person who has been here for the adventure from his foster dad to babysitters to everyone who shared his posts, as well as everyone in between. 💕

😍🖤MABEL HAS BEEN ADOPTED! 🖤😍

Mabel arrived to Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) back in January of this year. She weighted 22lbs at 3 years old, was fighting multiple infections with a body covered in sores and scars. When we met her, she was curled up into a tight ball in her cot. Her eyes showed just how tired her was. Not just physically, emotionally too.

She spent several months in her first foster home. They cared for her like their own dogs, and gave her a beautiful home to heal in. She was well socialized and got to experience a yard filled with nature. Where she developed a love for twigs and sticks in all shapes and sizes! She also experienced her first boat ride that she absolutely loved.

Her 2nd foster family spent the past month giving her home to explore life as the only pet while we found the perfect home. Took her on so many field trips that included plenty of pup cups.

When we ran out of resources to support Mabel, hundreds of you shared her story, became babysitters, donated funds and offered your professional pet care services to support her.

We are a 2 person rescue. All of the support you guys have shown us really touched our hearts in ways we could never begin to explain. It takes a village to save local dogs like Mabel. Each of you has something to offer dogs like her. No act of kindness is ever too small, each one is incredibly appreciated.

Yesterday we made the trip to Eau Claire WI to bring Mabel to her forever mom. These two instantly bonded and Mabel was meeting all her new neighbors the second she arrived! So many happy tears! Congratulations Mabel, you survived against all odds and are now ADOPTED! 🥳😍😭🥹🖤🥰😘🥳🤩
