Michelle's latest update on Cinnamon!
Reminder that Michelle and her husband adopted Lily, a white standard poodle girl, from us several years back. Lily passed in her older years and they were grieving.
They thought they weren't ready for another poodle yet but they found out about Cinnamon, whose owner was having surgery and unable to care for her.
Even though Cinnamon did not come from us, being a former adopter they keep in touch with us on how happy they are sharing their lives with Cinnamon.
Here's the latest.
Cinnamon is precious! She's not been around other dogs and is timid at first...not frightened...but standoffish.
She didn't know how to play with toys and could care less about fetching a ball. She likes her toys now but will never go after a ball.
She'd never learned to walk on a leash but loves her walks now. She gets so excited when we briing the harness out. She doesn't go after squirrels or deer. She loves attention and affection.
We updated her on her vet stuff and was a little overweight because she ate practically anything the former owner ate. She's a good weight now and eats human grade food and chopped chicken breast. She gets doggy ice cream 2-3x a week. She's pretty spoiled.
I didn't think I was ready for another dog but I'm so glad we followed our hunch and was able to help her former owner out and give Cinnamon a good home. We really love her!
