I recently went back to Uganda to see the children at Shiloh Children’s Care. What an amazing experience it was once again! I felt God with me every day! With your kind donations throughout the year and purchasing the Gracelets we were able to buy food for the children for a month. We purchased beans, rice and sugar. We got 50kg of sugar which was 220,000 shillings ($55.88 USD) 50kg of rice which was 440,000 shillings ($112.20 USD) 100kg of beans which was 400,000 shillings ($101.60 USD) Then we went across the street to my favorite place the Fresh Market, oh how I love this place. We got 2 watermelon 10,000 shillings ($2.54 USD, 2 pineapple 10,000 shillings ($2.54 USD) 2 bunches of Bananas 9,000 shillings ($2.30 USD)
Peppers, tomatoes, carrots, flour, onions 22,500 shillings ($5.74 USD), 10 apples 10,000 shillings($2.54), 5 cups of peas 12,500 shillings ($3.18) 1 case of soap 102,000 shillings ($25.98 USD). Our last stop was to get posho 100kg which was 120,000 shillings ($30.60). ($344.55 total USD) We paid off the medical bills that had been accumulating for over one year. Which was 1,251,000.00 shillings ($320.26USD)(Thankful for the doctor who never turned the children away when they were sick). We were also able to buy each child a new pair of house shoes, which they desperately needed. We had a pizza party one night. Which the children enjoyed. I left some shillings with Mama Esther and Mama Justine for any medical bills that come up or if they need anything at the orphanage.
