For Marcus, even though he stayed in the same foster home, other youth were always coming and going. Building lasting friendships and relationships wasn't easy.

We love seeing our FSA Scholars recognized for the incredible things they’re accomplishing across Georgia.

Congratulations to Hannah, who is featured in the Technical College System of Georgia’s Talent Pipeline Magazine, sharing her remarkable journey from foster care to pursuing a career in nursing at Central Georgia Technical College.

After entering foster care at age 11 and living in 17 different homes over the next seven years, Hannah has turned extraordinary challenges into determination. Today, she is working toward becoming a neonatal nurse practitioner, inspired by her own experience as a mother and the care her twins received in the NICU.

We’re proud that support through the Fostering Success Act has played a role in helping her continue her education and move closer to the career she’s worked so hard to build.

It’s college football season in Georgia, and Barbara Dooley certainly knows a thing or two about cheering on the Dawgs. But there’s another group of young Georgians she’s asking us to rally behind.

Barbara has seen the challenges facing youth who age out of foster care, including young people trying to pursue an education while worrying about basic needs like food, housing and transportation.
