Hannah knew education was her path to a better future. But staying in school while raising three children and navigating life after foster care was another challenge entirely. That’s where FSA made a difference.

With support for needs like child care and life’s unexpected emergencies, Hannah has been able to keep moving forward toward her degree and the career she dreams of.

Now through September 1, the Donor Match Program makes this an especially powerful time to participate in FSA. Your support can help more former foster youth like Hannah turn their determination into opportunity and new applicants are matched 2:1 - tripling your impact.

For Georgia business leaders, sometimes the most meaningful decisions are also the simplest.

Leslie and Walter Kurtz see the Fostering Success Act as an opportunity to turn an existing tax obligation into something tangible: a young adult with a safe place to live, access to education, career training, and a stronger start toward independence.

Now there’s even more reason to act. Through September 1, first-time donors can triple their impact with a 2:1 match, while returning donors can double theirs with a 1:1 match. Matching funds are limited.

For Hannah, the Fostering Success Act has meant more than financial support. It has meant the opportunity to keep pursuing her education, build a career, and create a different future for herself and her family.

Now, she wants other youth aging out of foster care to know that opportunity is possible for them, too. Hannah says she would thank FSA supporters “a hundred times over.”

Her story shows just how much your decision to participate can mean.See Hannah’s story and learn how you can help at fosteringsuccessact.org

“I didn’t know about it.”

That’s something we hear far too often about the Fostering Success Act.

When Brandon Hayes, Partner and Private Wealth Advisor at ClariVise Private Wealth, learned that Georgia taxpayers can redirect state taxes they already owe to help former foster youth pursue education and independence, he called it a “no-brainer.”

Watch Brandon share why this mission became personal to him, then help us do what he’s doing: tell the story.

When Hannah aged out of foster care, she wasn't just responsible for herself. She was raising three children while trying to find stable housing, reliable transportation, and a path toward a better future.

With support from FSA, Hannah was able to stay in school, overcome life's unexpected challenges, and keep pursuing the career she dreamed of.

Now, through a generous match program that can triple the donation of first-time donors, you can redirect your Georgia tax dollars to students like Hannah at no cost to you.

As students across Georgia head back to college this fall, hundreds of former foster youth are starting the semester with something they didn't always have: support.

Since 2023, the Fostering Success Act has awarded 1,518 scholarships to help former foster youth pursue higher education and build brighter futures.

Through September 1, qualifying contributions receive a special donor match:
✔️ New donors receive a 2:1 match
✔️ Returning donors receive a 1:1 match

Your contribution still qualifies for Georgia's dollar-for-dollar tax credit, so you're simply redirecting state taxes you already owe to invest in Georgia's future workforce. There's no cost to you.

If you know a Georgia taxpayer who hasn't heard about the Fostering Success Act, please share this post. Every new donor helps expand the impact of this matching challenge. Learn more at fosteringsuccessact.org

Most people hear the word "taxes" and assume it's complicated. It isn't.

With the Fostering Success Act, you're simply directing Georgia tax dollars you already owe to support former foster youth instead of sending those dollars to the state's general fund.

Right now, qualifying new donors receive a 2:1 match and returning donors receive a 1:1 match, making this the perfect time to apply.

There are only 30 days left before this special matching opportunity ends on September 1.

Apply then help us spread the word by sharing this post. Someone in your network may qualify and have no idea this opportunity exists.
