The Old Town North Community Partnership is an organization comprised of residents, small, local businesses and employees working to create a vital, vibrant community within Old Town North. In past years we have worked with the City of Alexandria on improvements to Montgomery Park and sponsored the Taste of Old Town North and Paws in the Park. Our vision of Old Town North is of an attractive, mixe

d use neighborhood with Montgomery Park as a community hub, where residents can walk to a variety of local businesses, picnic in the Gazebo, play with their children in the playground and their dogs in the dog park. We support open space that serves the community, pedestrian access and well managed traffic and parking. We work to provide recreational and cultural activities for the community both in Old Town North and the metropolitan area.

Tomorrow, April 18, the Old Town waterfront belongs to the dogs. 🐾

Old Town Alexandria is gearing up for the annual ALX Dog Walk — and if you’ve ever seen it, you know this isn’t just a stroll. It’s a full-on parade of wagging tails, happy humans, and community spirit, with hundreds of pups expected to take over the waterfront.

From Sustainable Lifestyle sponsor tents and treats to photo ops and four-legged fashion moments, it’s one of those only-in-Alexandria days where everyone shows up — and the dogs absolutely steal the show.

Whether you’re walking, volunteering, or just coming out to soak it all in, it’s a reminder of how much this town loves its dogs… and how much fun we have together.
