Communities in Kenya served by GHP are rapidly losing access to basic healthcare—treatment for infections, safe childbirth, family planning, and childhood vaccinations. With USAID support cut and clinics closing, child malnutrition is rising and lifesaving medicines for pneumonia, malaria, tuberculosis, and HIV/AIDS are no longer available.

Even in this crisis, GHP’s proven programs continue to save lives. Our newborn visitation program has reduced neonatal deaths to just 5% of the national average. We provide prenatal care, medically assisted births, treatment for child malnutrition, ongoing childhood immunizations—including HPV—and essential family planning.

GHP is doing everything possible to prevent disease and death, but we urgently need your help to keep these services going.

The people of Kenya who are served by GHP have lost access to basic healthcare, treatment of infections, medically attended childbirth, and family planning. There is more child malnutrition than ever. As clinics close, prenatal healthcare and childhood vaccinations are becoming scarce, leading to needless illness and death. Since the US Agency for International Development (USAID) has been closed, clinics no longer have access to medication to treat pneumonia, malaria, tuberculosis, or HIV/AIDS. GHP is doing its best to prevent disease, malnutrition, and death in the face of these losses. GHP has some awesome programs that have proven to save lives. These include a newborn visitation program that has cut the neonatal death rate to only 5% of the Kenyan national rate. GHP has expanded maternal and child care to include prenatal care and medically assisted births. GHP has a program to treat and cure child malnutrition. GHP has sponsored childhood immunizations to include HPV vaccinations. GHP can still provide family planning care. But we need your help.

GHP needs your help this giving season!
Thank you, global health supporters, for helping to maintain the Kisesini Clinic. Because of your generosity many children and their families are healthier and many childhood deaths have been prevented. Our work includes the on-site teaching of Kenyan staff, supporting a busy maternity center, providing essential medications, ambulance transportation for the seriously ill, outreach clinics to remote villages, and food and education support for the poorest children.
