Congratulations to John Metzger for winning in Commissioner race.
I believe we will be having several discussions in the future. But, I hope that you would rethink one thing that you told me you would do if you were elected. You told me that you would not turn down any recommendations that the Plan Commission brought before the commissioners. You need to re-think that statement. And deal with what’s right for Noble County. I’ve known you for a very long time and always valued our friendship, but that statement has stuck and for me and the people of Noble County scares me with the issues that we have been facing.  John, be strong. You are better than a yes man that they want you to be. I know you are a better person than that.

Whatever the outcome in today’s election we as Noble County citizens need to stand strong in our beliefs in keeping our farm grounds from being leased out to foreign countries and turned into industrial, unusable ground for the future generations.
We need to make sure that decisions are made for the right reasons for all, not a selected few. All citizens need to be treated equally.
I never thought I would have to make this statement and wish I didn’t feel like I had to but Noble County needs to do better, need to be better and it starts with you and me. So whoever is the winner today and future elections, let’s work with them and pray they will work for the citizens.
