Ladies Auxiliary of the Albertson Fire Company

The Albertson Ladies Auxiliary was formed in 1933 to support the Alberston Fire Company and the community.

The Albertson Ladies Auxiliary was formed in 1933 to support the Alberston Fire Company. Membership requirements stated that members needed to be a family member of an active Alberston volunteer firefighter in good standing. Since their inception, the Ladies Auxiliary has provided countless hours of hard work in providing refreshments during and after alarms, assisting at the hosting of numerous parades and drills, and participating in local charitable endeavors. Throughout its history, the Ladies’ Auxiliary has sponsored many fundraisers where efforts and financial projects are held primarily to benefit the firemen and other community organizations. This includes annual donations to the FASNY Firemen’s Home which provides housing and care to former volunteer firefighters. The Ladies Auxiliary has been an important and integral part of the Alberston Fire Company. The members of the Company are deeply grateful for the ladies dedication over the last 80 years. Though the years have passed, the current members have not diminished their goals and their mission of supporting the Company and the community.

25 years ago, a quarter of a century, our world was changed. Our hearts are still heavy as we continue to mourn and remember those who passed on 9/11 and those who have since passed due to illness. Those lost are not forgotten and live in our hearts.

The Alberston Ladies Auxiliary are honored to call the crew of Engine 8010, who responded 25 years ago, father, son, brother, husband and friend. We are so proud of the men and woman of the Alberston Fire Company and it is our privilege to support them. We thank you for coming home to us on that day and the days since. We pray for those who did not.
